My friends and I were driving through Bangor, ME to head to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and had a deep craving for Chinese food, so we decided to stop by China Harbor to get our fix. It is ABSOLUTELY a must-stop place if you're in the area and want delicious Chinese food. We ordered the crab rangoon, chicken wings, the beef lo mein, and virgin pina coladas (safe driving please), shrimp fried rice, teriyaki skewers, and a couple more dishes (only some pictured below!). I usually don't leave reviews but everything was delicious, not greasy or overly salty, which some Chinese restaurants can overdo, and the staff were so friendly providing us recommendations at Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, that we decided to stop by again when we were driving through Bangor on our way back home. I'm not sure where the one stars are coming from, but China Harbor is a must if you want Chinese food!

If you are on your way to Acadia this place is a must stop. This family-owned restaurant offers a variety of tasty American Chinese food with great service. Just a quick detour off of 395 with free parking, it only makes sense to stop here for lunch and avoid the crowds at Bar Harbor. The General Tso's Chicken, fragrant and fresh, came out in a very well served portion. My absolute favorite was the Crab Rangoon, a crisp sweet & savory deep fried dumpling that I could eat for days. The staff is super friendly and can give you tips about things to do (and not do) in Acadia and Bar Harbor. Definitely worth the stop.

American Chinese food. Price is higher than New York, the older woman is rude with attitude. First time me and my friends come to this town and so happy to see a Chinese restaurant, the woman acting she don't want any customers come. While I'm waiting for my food to go, hear her lies to others over the phone.

We live in Florida now, but formally we lived across the Penobscot in Brewer. I have never found Chinese food in Florida that has food as great as China Harbor! The hot and sour soup is the best I have ever had on the East coast of the US. Love this place! It is a must stop everytime we return to Maine! I don’t know what restaurant the reviewers who labelled the 3 ladies as rude were in, but it couldn’t have been the place I go! Even if it has been a year since being there they always recognize me and my family! At first I think there may have been both cultural and language barriers. But I always joke with them and compliment them and the food! If I were still going there regularly we would be great friends! Respect is a two way street! Love this place and...

The wait staff ladies are very rude, and prices seem to change over the phone. They do not try to help out their customers, and you feel like your intruding if you eat in. Its not a welcoming place. The pork is always fatty, so its picked out from everything. Dont get the meat in it you say......well thats extra to not add the meat. The place is freezing, and Im meaty, so thats saying something, because normally I sweat walking to the bedroom from my livingroom. Sodas are small and no refills. the combination meal add ons are 1.75-2.00 depending who you talk to, and you cant order 2 of the same add ons....why? I would choose this last on my list of chinese dining, and I do, however this is my moms favorite...
