Aroma Joes — Restaurant in Bangor

I asked if they could do the equivalent of a brown sugar shaken latte with oat milk. Did not ask for cinnamon, specifically said "absolutely no syrup". The person who took my order said "yeah absolutely" I said I wanted sugar in the raw and she again said "yeah absolutely ". When I got to the second window the person handed me the drink and it looked like weird. Really dark brown crumbles on the top of my drink. And I asked the person what that was, was there cinnamon and she said yes that's cinnamon and sugar crumbles and I said I asked for brown sugar, sugar in the raw. She said "I put syrup in it, cinnamon and sugar and syrup and cinnamon and sugar crumbles". I informed her that I'd requested there be no syrup in it because I don't like high fructose corn syrup". She asked me "to just like to try it to see if I like it". No, I didn't try it because I know I don't like high fructose corn syrup. There's a reason I order sugar in the raw and oat milk. Very disappointing. The Gouda and egg sandwich was likewise. Very disappointing and expensive lesson and not a lesson I'll need twice. I'm surprised she didn't just offer to refund me the money since I paid in cash and instead just asked me to try it to see if I liked it. If I specifically request "do not put syrup in my drink", there's an excellent likelihood that I don't like syrup. In my drink. There was a line of people behind me in the drive-thru, I chose to avoid being impolite to the line of people waiting and I just drove away. Had she said we don't have that I would have either skipped the latte or ordered something else. Wouldn't recommend Aroma Joe's service,...

I don’t understand this place at all.. they redid the outgoing lanes that Tim Hortons had and now there’s only one exit lane and it’s very difficult to back out of a spot.

I’ve tried this place a few times since they opened and it’s insane wait times. I waited 36 minutes for a hot latte and when I tasted my drink, it wasn’t even remotely correct. You cannot escape the drive through either, otherwise I would’ve bailed.

I love the Orono and Newport locations but this one is ridiculous. Won’t be back.

EDIT: In response to the owner - I went to this location around 1:05 pm and still waited the 36 minutes to get an incorrect drink. How was I supposed to ask them to fix it, get back in line for another half hour?...

Edit to to add: after finally getting our food and drinks, both of the iced coffees we got tasted watered down and just not great and the egg bites were cold in the middle

I go to aroma joes very often and this is the first time stopping at this one. The service was horrible, I understand it being a rush on Saturday morning but the fact we finally got up to the window and sat waiting while an employee sat and counted their tips out without taking our order is ridiculous. After waiting at least 10 minutes for someone to finally take our order. Tips shouldn’t be counted out when you no joke have a line of cars that goes out to the road and you have someone waiting...
