They are there to make the poor folks of Maine poorer and the rich richer. Why I say that. I play 4 times a week. I literally never hit anything good. I bet the lowest amounts $2.50 or $5 . Every bonus on Buddha lightning bonuses $7 and under anyhow I got 15 free spins I won $7 lady next to me sat down bet $50 hit a jackpot immediately. Other lightning game out of three. Every person who sat down hit on first spin and I swear to Christ atleast 16 people sat down while I spent over $3000 dollars on Buddha . Playing $5 winning shit I decided to play $2.50 a spin for a thousand. I could not even hit a real win.. Saturday night mind you and lightning games are always being waited for. None were played for over an hour after I sat . Strange. I am seeing only high rollers winning big with their special players card. Night before same shit one lady sat and hit got up moved and hit did this over and over. Just luck you say. How do these people sleep at night knowing all you poor broke people lose your asses cause you only play small denoms and rich keep winning big cause they play big denoms . You all see it. I think we all need to come together because something isn't adding up.. $3000 in 2 hours and came home absolutely broke 3 nights this week. They are a scam folks. If you play big win bigger if you win. Play small win shit almost always. $7 on 15 spins $5 bet. They are a joke. Don't let them play you anymore. After feeling profiled this week I literally went home depressed and almost couldn't handle it. My fault you say. Yeah my fault I trust casinos not my fault they take every dam dime from many of us poor folks. Enough is enough I won't be back. I heard they had to fire their gaming commissioners seeing how they was Hollywood's escape goats for cheating. They'll deny it but it's true. ..if you play pay closer attention you'll see what I mean. I thought I'd be considered a high roller but I am not betting big amounts. My fault. Good luck losing your retirement funds and savings. Mohican and foxwoods you win small bets or big bets jackpots happen all the time. Now they don't steal from the people. They treat all of us right or at least buy us dinner lol..be carful know when to say no more cause they don't care if you wanna lose...
Read moreOk. #1. If you stay multiple nights, they don't come to clean or restock your room with necessities. Mind you, yiu have to pay a resort fee per night that you stay which includes 2-6oz waters even though there are 2 beds and we had 3 people in the room. So you need to go to the front desk and get said waters, toilet paper, coffees, etc BECAUSE they don't restock your room. #2. You can only run the AC/ hear between 76° and 66°. Some might think this is fine bur the rooms are super stuffy and air is stagnant. We tried to run the AC cooler and it trips the rooms unit and it shuts down. You don't know this happens until it gets super uncomfortable. The phones don't have a front desk # on them so you either need to call the hotel # from your cell or physically walk to the front desk. We chose to call and were on hold for 15min. Walking would have been faster. After that nobody came to the room. Maintenance called us and walked us through the restarting procedure which including opening the unit flipping switches and waiting while using a combination of steps on the controls. They told us if it didn't work, they would provide us with a fan. That's a joke. They should have never even said that. After the AC restarted it barely did anything for the room. Stuffy as HELL. Water in shower was nice and hot. Maybe too hot, so be careful. Room was clean on arrival, so that was good. Ice machine worked on our floor but NOT on the floor that our friends were on. They had the SAME problem with their AC as well and WE restarted theirs as and their room never recovered either. Food at the main restaurant was good and reasonably priced and the service was decent. Our server was great but when we arrived we stood around waiting to be seated and nobody said a word to us even though they looked at us multiple times. We tried to seat ourselves and only then did they acknowledge our existence, told us to wait to be seated and in a minute or two they sat us. I'm sorry this is a long review but I think people should be aware because their are other hotels that are not far away and cheaper. We will NEVER stay...
Read moreNope. Nope. Nope. Three friends and I booked a SUPER OVERPRICED room at this hotel so we'd have somewhere to stay after the Dave Matthews concert. Their NORMAL rate is around $115-$150 per night. We paid $740 for a STANDARD room that advertised 2 queen beds and a "deluxe city view." These were not queen beds (yes, we measured them). We're all single gals who sleep in our own queen beds at home and immediately we knew these beds were small. They're full size, FYI, so if you're expecting to have ANY ROOM to move around in a shared bed, forget it. Our "deluxe city view" was the top of the parking garage + the top half of an oversized Paul Bunyan statue in the distance. I wish I could say I was joking.
After the show we came back and decided that while one of our party members went to bed, the rest of us would go to the casino. We were disappointed to find out it closed at Midnight so we had a whopping 20 minutes to play. For a hotel so adept at ripping people off (see above inflated room rates), it was surprising that they wouldn't take advantage of the inebriated concertgoers wanting to gamble after the show (note: none of us were inebriated, however). NOTE: They ALSO close/lock the first floor bathrooms at this time, I'm assuming it's to deter the homeless population from using them. 🙄
My favorite part of the stay was at 12:38am, while silently waiting in the lobby for pizza to arrive (as to not wake our sleeping roommate), we were KICKED OUT of the hotel lobby. It wasn't just us, either, there were 3 other people (strangers to us) present. We were all sitting in lobby chairs, silently scrolling our phones when the front desk attendant approached us and told us the "lobby was closed" and we'd have to leave. Can you even IMAGINE?! A common area in a hotel was closed? As someone who has worked in hotels, this is unheard of. Did we seriously just get kicked out of a lobby in the hotel we're paying almost $750 for a single night...
