Sucks. One day they are very skimpy on toppings then the next they are generous however half the topping are mostly on one side of the pizza. And if you are sharing with others this isn't fair to everyone, I mean how hard is it to spread toppings evenly? I don't expect them to be perfect but come on. Also today I found bits of plastic in my pizza. When I took it over to the State St. Gambinos they said it came off a lid container. One rather defensive fella said that he looked it over carefully before baking it. Which is a direct admission of guilt that he thought something was wrong in the first place. I mean why would anyone need to inspect a pizza in the first place??? Anyway they didn't offer me any compensation and only said that they weren't sure what to do about it. I called their corporate office at their Hammand St. location and the man on the phone was rather defensive and also offered no compensation except for a free pizza. ha ha ha Why would I want more food from them when they just fed me plastic bits???? Anyway I said that I might sue and he was trying to get a definitive answer out of me if I was going to sue or not, he also put words in my mouth while we were talking. I never said I was going to sue unless I get really sick. I just ate the pizza an hour ago so I will soon see if I'm going to have intestinal injuries from their mistake. I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to make a pizza and by the look of the plastic lid, it had shattered and broke around the edges. This should have been painly obvious even to a child that something was wrong. And for the plastic to end up in the food should have been obvious. Even after they discovered this they put the lid back on the container and put it back while we were talking. ha ha ha Anyway, their decor is dismal, it's a depressing little shack of a building that looks like it belongs back in the early 1900s, their service isn't that great either. In fact when I picked up the pizza the lady at the counter didn't even give me time to put my change in my pocket and pick up my pizza before she was already addressing a customer behind me when it would have only taken me a few seconds more to move. I also recall getting a pizza from there a long time ago that a friend of mine ordered and we couldn't eat it. It was all mushy and doughy. Also when I just moved in a couple blocks away last month a pizza we got from Gambinos was seriously lacking in pizza sauce and...

ABSOLUTELY SUPERIOR! The staff always provides me with the best service. Regardless of the time of day, it can be the thick of lunch rush or slightly after when things quiet down a bit, I always am treated like a valued customer! The food is always fresh and delicious, put together well and delivered with utmost care. The one time my order was not correct in the past YEAR I called and the manager Ben, first apologized for my order not being correct and promptly had the correct version delivered quickly. I will always choose my local store over national chains because of the reasons listed above. They APPRECIATE their customers and it shows by the work they do and quality of the food they deliver! Thank you to the crew at Papa G's, I...
Read moreI was looking for a pizza joint for dine in. Not this place. But I ordered me a pizza. I travel the country for work. I just finished a trip from Milwaukee, wi to San Diego, CA. Then came to Bangor from there. After not eating real food for a few days (6), it was time to try a new pizza joint. I got a pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, garlic pizza. It was decent. It's the only pizza I've had in this area, so I can't compare it to local. But on the scale I can compare it to, it's a little above average. It's not like Pizzeria Uno in chicago, where I will drive for 2 hrs for pizza and go back home. It's also not like 5 star pizza in Michigan, where I won't step foot back in the that place again. This pizza is at least worth the try. I also got the godfather sandwich, but that's for a...
