We visited on Sunday, Nov 20 just before noon. The service was good and the food was good for a little. We kinda lost our appetite when a very thin women’s panty liner was found on our table after the plates were delivered. We can only guess it fell from the bottom on our son’s plate when the waitress went to set the plate down. After the kids saw the disgust on my wife’s face we had to explain what it was to our 9yr old. How in the world does an open female hygiene product get under a plate from the kitchen!!!!!! My wife didn’t want to confront the waitress and make an embarrassing scene, so she discretely took it to the front in a napkin and told the manager on duty. He said he would check in to it, but that was about it. It was kinda shocking he didn’t seem more concerned. We just asked for our check and left. We told the waitress our O’Club rewards, but never got credit for the visit. The place seems to be going downhill.
Update (29Nov2022): Charley’s customer service quickly responded to my comment, and I replied with the information requested, but never heard back. I was credited for our paid visit on the O’Club app. I’m still wondering how the incident happened; I guess nobody at the restaurant owned up to it.
Update (2Dec2022): Charley's Guest Relations called me directly and apologized. They showed actual concern, as they should, and wanted us to know the issue was being highlighted. They still didn't have an answer for what happened. They made sure our family would receive another meal since my wife didn't eat her meal and my son ate about half of his meal.
Update (2Dec2022): The manager at the O'Charley's called me as well an apologized and asked us to come back. I told him we were going to take a break from O'Charley's for a while. He had a meeting with his staff about the issue and did show more concern; however, nobody owned up to it.
I raised the review from 1 star to 3 stars only because the customer service seemed to care and they actively looked into the matter, again, as they should. My food was good, and the service was...
Read moreI use to love going to Ocharley's in Kentucky. When we stopped here on our way home, I was disappointed to find out that the prime rib is no longer being sold. The spinach artichoke dip contained about 1 bite of artichoke. The building was dirty from the bathroom to lobby. The hostess was very unfriendly. Prices sky rocketed. The Cajun chicken pasta looked nothing like the picture - did not contain ANY tomatoes, peppers, or onions as the menu discribes. We googled pictures and pulled up the menu to see if maybe we had gotten the wrong dish. My 6oz sirloin was of very poor quality. On top of that, we observed a server having a fit, loud enough for multiple tables to hear her, about getting "stiffed" twice today. She then proceeded to tell every table she served that she had previously been shorted. My first reaction was that she was scamming people to get a higher tip (thinking they will feel bad for), or if it was real, her professionalism alone would have been reason for me to think she was the direct result of not getting a tip. So glad she was not our server because she made a fool of herself. Every new group seated in her area had to hear her story "just letting you know Ive had a really bad day ....." Our server (KC?) was friendly and prompt, and quite frankly the only saving grace of the whole experience. I wish I got the other...
Read moreWe are here in Barboursville, from Ft. Myers, Fl. visiting our parents. My mom recommended O'Charley's for dinner, stating that the filet mignon could be cut with a fork and melts in your mouth. It had been 3 months since they had last visited, as O'Charley's charges $20.99 for a 7oz filet, and on a fixed income that is pricey. I very much looked forward to a medium rare, melt in your mouth filet with a baked potato with butter. That is not what I received. Not sure what the cut of meat was that I was served, but it was not a filet. Filets do not have sinew. My baked potato was still half raw. Mom ordered hers' medium well. They butterflied her steak, and it was dry and hard to cut with a steak knife. The manager remade our meals...after 20 more minutes of waiting...the second plates were just as bad as the first. This time, my "filet" pulled apart like a piece of rare pot roast. And they put only sour cream on the potato (hate sour cream on potatoes). Mom's second filet looked worse than the first, over cooked, butterflied and grisly. I gave up and left hungry. Hubby had tilapia, it was okay. I will not be returning to O'Charley's. If you go, don't order the "filet". You will be...
