Seacoast Inn — Hotel in Barnstable

In this area of Cape Cod, every block offers multiple lodging options, and the range from ordinary to luxury is broad. You'll find a couple of Marriott properties and several lower quality Wyndom brands. But for the "authentic" Cape Cod experience, check out the many 70s era "motels" which have been converted to hotels by building facades around the original direct-on-the-parking-lot room entrances to create more secure hallways. We have stayed at several such properties on the Cape, and our favorite is the SeaCoast Inn.||Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff, especially the housekeepers, are pleasant and accommodating. The decor is a little eclectic and much more fun than a chain hotel. Our room had a small round table with two chairs, but it was impossible to sit at the table because of its peculiar metal cage-like under frame. The room included a small refrigerator and microwave. Shared laundry machines are available. There is no pool, but there is a beautiful beach at the Veterans' Park, about a mile from the inn.||The Inn is a short walk from the Hyannis harbor and numerous excellent sea food restaurants. My husband and I traveled here with my parents. The hotel was very great at accommodating our request for first floor rooms & our rooms nearby each other. The rooms were extremely clean, smelled great, big, cold AC, & super cute! The king size bed was pretty comfortable as well. We didn’t have to talk to the front desk much but each time we had any questions or checked in/out everyone was extremely nice!! While we were there, the hotel was nice and quiet. Plenty of parking. Walking distance was close to the downtown and also the harbor to look at the boats and Veterans Memorial park. The only downfall was there was a small continental breakfast pictured on booking websites but they had removed that. They should take the photos down. Also - I wish there was some outdoor common space to hangout besides sitting in your room. Though we knew this before arrival. We would stay here again! Had a great time & price to stay. Situé pers de tout, le Seacoast Inn offre des chambres spacieuses avec cuisinette et salle de bains. L’hôtel est sis à 100m de Main Street puis à 200m du port où les croisières partent et arrivent; localisation idéale, compte tenu que vous êtes près de l'action, mais aussi en zone calme. On nous a offert la chambre numéro 3 au rez-de-chaussée. La cuisinette est qu'équipée pour accommoder deux personnes. Il y a deux chaises et une table, mais pas de bureau pour travailler ni divan. Il y a un lit king confortable avec 6 oreillers, une petite armoire pour ranger les effets personnels et une grande TV avec câble et Netflix.||Commençons donc par les points positifs: check in et check out rapides et simples, stationnement gratuit, grille-pain disponible, café offert gratuitement 24h-24h. Dans le lobby, il y a un ordinateur et une imprimante à votre disposition, mais je ne vous recommande pas de l'utiliser pour faire des affaires personnelles (banque), car il s'agit d'une vieille version de Windows qui rend vulnérable toute transaction sécurisée. On met aussi à votre disposition (quantité limité) des chaises de plage, des parasols, des petites planches de surf et des serviettes de plage. Vous aurez aussi gratuitement accès à une buanderie (savon inclus), ce que nous avons grandement apprécié durant notre séjour de 5 nuitées. Dans la même pièce, il y a une machine à glace.||Au niveau du personnel, les gérants sont gentils et essaient toujours d'accommoder: il n'y a qu'à demander! La femme de ménage, Dionne, est très avenante et toujours souriante. Elle répond à toutes vos demandes. À l'accueil, en PM et en soirée, il y a Angie qui vous aide à bien vivre votre séjour et qui répond à vos besoins.||Regardons ce qu'il faudrait améliorer. La climatisation des chambres fonctionne très bien, mais dégage une odeur de moisi et d'humidité. Une fois dans la chambre, vous ne sentirez plus l'odeur après 5 minutes. Nous avons préféré ouvrir les 3 fenêtres et aérer tant que la température le permettait. Cela ne nous a pas empêché d'avoir un bon séjour. Le wifi est carrément nul! Oubliez le streaming. Aussi, le Seacoast Inn aurait tout avantage à offrir un ordinateur avec la plus récente version de Windows ou encore à passer à Mac... Pour ce qui est de la propreté, nous avons trouvé que personnel d'entretien des chambres devrait passer un aspirateur dans les pièces et non un balai: il y avait de la poussière dans les coins, et l'horrible tapis en accumule beaucoup.||Finalement, nous le recommandons pour des séjours de 1...
