The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum is a must see & visit attraction when traveling through Cape Cod, Massachusetts (MA). In August of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a self guided tour of the museum during our vacation in Cape Cod. The John F Kennedy Hyannis Museum showcases President Kennedy & his family’s deep attachment and presence in Cape Cod, MA and details his strong love and reverence for this beautiful coastal destination. What my wife and I enjoyed about the museum were it’s prolific collection of images that featured John F. Kennedy spending time with his family in Cape Cod. We also liked the amazing photos of Kennedy sailing the Victura, the gorgeous pictures of his spouse, Jacquelin Kennedy, viewing and reading about Kennedy’s rocking chair & the exhibit on the Kennedy compound. Visiting the museum was a delightful experience and my wife and I definitely recommend for everyone to take the time to stop by and explore this wonderful attraction!!!

After visiting JFK national library in Boston, a few days prior, I decided my next visit had to be the Hyannis JFK Museum. The Kennedys spent their summers in Hyannis port right on the water, so it’s only fitting that the museum is located here. The building itself is beautiful, very old and almost resembling a house from a few hundred years ago. the exhibits are all on one floor, which makes it easy to navigate room to room. I think the best part of this museum photos of the family in the Hyannis and Cape Cod area. The museum has pretty much everything you want to know about the Kennedys in Cape Cod and some JFK/presidential factoids as well. When I was visiting, the whole second floor was a JFK Jr exhibit on the anniversary of his death. Check out on my photos below. The only thing that doesn’t make it a five star experience was that it’s quite small.

Made to wear masks in order to enter inside and told to maintain social distancing. Sign outside clearly states to do so as well. Fine, however, once money paid and allowed to proceed, people were packed inside rooms elbows to elbows. When the director was asked about this, when sign clearly states 8 people per square feet, she stated that the sign is there because at any day the CDC can change the rules but today there are no rules. When inquiring why we had to wear masks then, she stressed it's required and on the sign. Then she RUDELY stated, "What's your point?" There was close to 100 people that were so bottlenecks that we couldn't even walk through. I was told to just come back another day. Wait.... people had to make appointments for time slots. This doesn't make sense. Just left for it would take a good 2 hours to get through this many people. Insane and a disgrace the way it's run here.

As a visitor from Melbourne Australia two weeks ago this was a life's journey in memory of my Mum who loved the Kennedys and always wanted to travel to Hyannis. Mum passed this on to me, so the journey began. I couldn't sleep as this meant so much to me I sat outside the Museum at 5:00am with coffee in hand. Knowing I was too early I decided to walk to the Kennedy Compound to be as close as I could, shared the moment with Mum, grabbed some sand and walked back to the Museum which was an amazing experience. The exhibits were incredible, the staff amazing, the store was fun, I wanted to buy it all. I also visited the JFK Memorial and the Presidential Library at Columbia Point. To me this whole experience was " a brief shining moment" Thank you for sharing the experience of your President, your Museum and your town with the World.

The museum is nice with excellent exhibits. At least 2 of the staff are RUDE. We hadn't been here in years and it has improved immensely. There is a tiny sign that says no photos. We did not see it. My wife took a picture of an exhibit and a woman appeared and sternly let my wife know no photos. It wasn't what she said, it was her RUDE tone. Then, another woman came in 2 minutes later and really let her have it in the rudest tone. My wife only took 1 photo and is 55 years old. We almost left but decided to stay. As we walked thru many people were taking photos. The incredibly rude lady works the cash register in the gift shop. I watched her yell at people in a similar tone for removing their credit cards too soon. She should not be servicing the public.

A very interesting place. However its just mainly photos, magazines, or paintings. And you cant take pics. There wasnt much of the pre president years. I would have liked to see more memorbila like an outfit, and stuff about his childhood n earlier years before was goin for president. The family tree was interesting, theyll need to build a wall to add on lol theres a small room on Robert Kennedy as well which was interesting. They are wheelchair accessible but the rooms are hard to maneuver threw if busy, i had walker n had to keep working my way threw n waiting. Restrooms are not on site tho, its in a building behind i believe. All together still an interesting place to visit. We did groupon and was basically 2 for $14, price of 1.
