JD's Wings 2 Go - Hwy 70 — Restaurant in Bartlett

My family and I have grown tired of the waiting and order mess-ups from national and regional "chain" wing restaurants. So we decided to try a local place, and went with JD's. We were NOT disappointed.

Pros: Party wings (bone-in) are not these party wings you find in the other wing restaurants and buy at the grocery store that are... small is nice enough. The size of these wings were the size of pre-lockdown wings from all the wing restaurants. The wings were also extremely flavorful. We're a ranch family (with wings) but the ranch dipping sauce was not needed because even the "dry" Lemon Pepper wings we got were so dang juicy. And the Honey Love wings (pronounce it wangz), it was like the wing was marinated in that sauce.... there was sauce underneath the skin. And the Memphis Style BBQ... exactly what you're looking for if you're looking for a traditionaly BBQ wing with some sweetness.

Cons: I got two. First, I called in the order and told the guy my family was trying JD's out for the first time. I told him the 3 flavors I wanted, one being the Honey Love. Had no idea it is a honey mustard sauce. I loved these, but I'm the only one in my family that does mustard on a regular basis. So a flavor description would have been nice over the phone or a written one online. And the 2nd.... the sauced wings weren't crispy. But these two are minor in my opinion. It is very hard to do a crispy sauced wing. Dang near impossible without overcooking it.

With that said, we have found our new wing place. Size, flavor, crispy dry rub wings that weren't overcooked, and most importantly the price point was great considering this is a local place and not a chain... and courteous staff when I came to pick up the order... Please keep this good...

This is a review that I have wanted to write for some time. First of all the food served at JD’s is excellent. The wing flavors they offer are original and delicious. They offer a nice variety of everything so everyone will find something they will enjoy on their menu. I highly recommend JD’s for any meal or event that you may have planned. I wanted to be sure to include a bit more in this review. I had the pleasure of meeting the two young men who are the owners of JD’s. These guys are locally grown and extremely hard working. I like to know where my money is going. It just feels better spending our hard earned money when we know what and who it is going to support. These young men are trying to make it happen during difficult times and are doing so without sacrificing quality or customer service. Please try JD’s and you will enjoy GREAT food and be supporting positive hard working...

This is the last time I will go here. The first time I went my burger was big. The second time it was small. So today was my 3rd visit I told the gentleman that took my order about my burger was little the second time. He told me to get the Jd burger it is bigger so I did. I got my order and asked him after waiting over 40 minutes is this the Jd burger and he said yes. I replied this is the lunch special burger. He insist that's the Jd burger. This burger was the size of a McDonald's double cheese burger. Which was my husband first choice. We got catfish and the fish was fried in French fry grease. Mine you this is my third visit here. Strike 3 your out. They have good burgers but not worth the money for the small size. Only one worker working all the orders. Young lady was on her lunch break and said never again.
