Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Bartow

Last night my husband went through the drive-thru at around 9:30pm and ordered sundaes and blizzards for the family. The order took long than expected to make, and by the time he arrived at home it was 10:00pm. When our nine year old son opened the lid to his sundae, the container made an audible popping noise and melted ice cream exploded all over him and our dining room. After cleaning him up we noticed his sundae as well as the other sundae and blizzards were complete liquid. I can only assume the ice cream machine was already in defrost or cleaning mode, causing the soft serve to turn back into a liquid state, as it was close to this location’s closing time. We tried to call that evening and nobody answered the phone. My husband called the next afternoon and the girl who answered the phone refused to issue a refund because we no longer had the MELTED ICE CREAM several hours later to return to the store. She would also not provide him with the time a manager would be in the building for him to speak to and was extremely rude during the entire interaction. 0/10 Would not recommend this location to others and will not patron it again if this is how their staff is trained to handle...

I’m not exaggerating when I say I had the best ice cream sundae of my life here. I wish I got the name of the employee that made our ice creams, but whoever made it was NOT stingy with the ice cream OR the toppings. The cup of blue and pink ice cream was cotton candy flavor, it was delicious but it was also HUGE. This is what they call a small here😅 The other one is the Heath brownie cupfection. The amount of chocolate and caramel in my cup was ridiculous. You could barely even see the vanilla ice cream in the middle 🤤(and we all know Dairy Queen has the best vanilla ice cream anyways, this just added to it) on top of that was a huge brownie that honestly tasted homemade. It was so soft, and didn’t feel old either. The Heath candy pieces on top were abundant to say the least, then I got to the bottom of the ice cream and realized there was another heaping scoop of Heath bar pieces. I almost shed a tear. 10/10 would recommend...

Ordered a milk shake, and a Blizzard. It was a to go order so I was 1/4 into my Blizzard when I found a blonde hair in it. My hair is dark Brown and my husband's. I called to let them know about the situation and she said I would have to bring it back along with the receipt. I explained I was already in Lakeland at this time and not possible for me to come in right then. I asked if she could take my info and next time I come in remake it at there expense. She said no manager rules are to bring it along with the receipt than. I explained it was not possible. Customers be ware you may get more than your toppings in there. And if you dont eat it there in the building they will not make it right. What ever happen to the customer is always right! Evidently they dont care to loose a regular customer. And everyone I know I will warn them about...
