If You Are Looking For Respect While Being Served Your Food iDont Recommend Bartow’s Waffle House. iWent Into Waffle House This Afternoon To Place A Togo Order. iSat At the Front Bar About 3 Seats Over From The Register. While iEntered The Building A Girl asked Me If iWould Like Something To Drink To a Get Started. Didn’t Catch Her Name But She Was Very Polite. After Receiving The The Menu A Server By the Name Stacie Came Up to Take My order. As I’m Giving The Order Stacie Had A Rude Tone Almost Like She Was Stressed Because Of Course There Were Busy An As A Gm Of A Restaurant iWas Understanding An Let It Slide. After Placing My Order Stacie Comes Back To Me With A Total Of $20 For My Food. Despite The Nasty Tone In Her Voice iWas Going to Tip Her $5 Just Because Of The Fact That iKnow How It Can Be. Anyways iHanded Her My bank Card She Went to The Register To Cash Me Out, Again iWas Sitting About 3 Seats Over From The Register. Another Guy Who Worked There Was Sitting Next Me To. After Stacie Cashed My Order Out INSTEAD OF WALKING MY CARD OVER TO ME SHE THREW IT ACROSS THE WORKER SITTING NEXT TO ME AN ASKED HIM TO HAND IT TO ME AFTER I ALREADY PICKED IT UP. Never In My Entire Life Have iHad So Much Disrespect from A Server. iWould Much Rather Drive To Lakeland An Get Treated With RESPECT Instead Of Such Nasty Behavior. Voice Of Opinion Here: WAFFLE HOUSE. YOU NEED TO HIRE MORE CLASS PEOPLE. With All that Being Said Stacie Got No Tip. iWill Not Speak Highly Of Bartow’s Waffle House Period. An iWill Not Be Returning, An I’m Very Disappointed To Know That Waffle House Don’t Care About How They Treat There Customers An Allows Employees To...
Read moreI usually don’t have an issue at this waffle house. I was actually in another city and decided to drive to Bartow because the service is better. I arrived during breakfast and of course it’s busy so I don’t mind waiting. I sat down. A few people came in after me but we were all waiting to be seated. The host then sat people before me after waiting 20-30 mins to be seated. I advised that I had been waiting and he offered me a seat at the high chairs. I put my order in, got my coffee and waited some more. The same people who came in after me and were seated before me ordered their food at the same time that I did because we were sitting right next to each other. After about another 30 mins, they get their food. I hear the waitress ask the guy who was calling out the orders where was my food. They start going back and forth about my ticket and he said she never gave him my ticket but I watched her give it to him. She shrugged her shoulders and then I would’ve had to wait longer. I decided to pay for my coffee and leave. It’s really hit or miss at all waffle houses cause it’s so busy, but I never expected this kind of service from the Bartow Location. And I’m extremely disappointed because I recommend them over any other ones in the area. I...
Read moreSome mornings, I just need coffee and a waffle, you know? While visiting family in Bartow, I had such a morning. The Waffle House on Broadway (US 98) was waiting!
At nine o'clock in the morning on a Friday, Waffle House was a busy place. However, I was greeted by a friendly "Good Morning!" as I entered.
Choosing a seat at the counter, I ordered a cup of coffee, a waffle, and some crispy bacon. In seconds, I had a steaming cup of coffee before me. Taking a sip, I watched the intricate choreography of the restaurant staff.
Seven employees were either serving, cooking, or clearing food for customers in a pretty packed little restaurant. The main cook, stationed at the large grill, was keeping up a near constant flow of jokes with the other staff while busily ensuring that the bacon was just right.
My food arrived and I enjoyed a perfect waffle smothered in syrup. It's sweetness was offset by the saltiness of the bacon. Delicious!
Waffle House is not a place for quiet reflection, but it offers friendly service, consistently good breakfast fare, and fair prices. The entertainment provided by staff appeared to be unintentional, but, at least on that day,...
