Got Desserts — Restaurant in Bartow

Ok so I remember when they had the shop called "Got Candy" downtown lakeland. And I would always purchase their Chocolate Toffee bark while my daughters would get Unicorn Milkshakes. I only know about them creating the milkshake, I'm sure someone made it before them but they brought it to Lakeland. Lol I used to see the owner all the time because we used to get our nails done by the same nail tech. Always the NICEST, WARMEST, and PLEASANT PERSON!! I'm not going to beg you to take my money and that's what I feel like what's missing with a the unfortunate things they have going on in the world. Just smile...you never know what someone is going through....and what I was going through Thursday at the food truck rally was anything BUT my day...However, the smile and the experience I received from the food truck was all I needed. Cheesecake is my favorite dessert so OBVIOUSLY is was going to get the Cheesecake on a stick, BUT what surprised me the most was that Cheesecake cookie. At first it looks like an ice cream sandwich, but its Cheesecake filling. And the cookies are homemade and fresh!! Im an amateur baker and i can tell lol OMG!!! DELICIOUS!!! I'm currently eating my 4th and last one now 🥺🥺🥺 but I'll find you guys. When I get married or for any occasion, you're definitely on my list. And the Watermelon lemonade.....SPEECHLESS!!! I can tell that they put love and care in there items!!! Repeat...

Giving this business a one is truly being nice. I went for a cake tasting for my wedding, and left with no price point or even price ballpark the cake would be in. I went to many tastings for my wedding cake and received the price per slice before I left and also a deposit amount. More than a week went by without hearing anything from the owner, I then called the store THREE times, she never was there, nor any word of a quote for my cake. When planning a wedding, everything is done by deadlines, other cake bakers are getting booked daily, and I'm missing opportunities for my wedding day. I finally got ahold of someone and simply asked now for a refund for my tasting, I was very gracious when asking. I am a classy woman and deal with wedding vendors on a daily basis. The girl at the store herself said that the time I've waited is ridiculous. The owner, whom I had my tasting with, said she didn't remember having a tasting with me!!!! Hmmmmm...maybe because you've taken so long to get back with me. The owner, Cheryl, then called me back with attitude, and laughed when I asked for a refund. If they were giving cakes away for free I would say NO THANK YOU!! Cakes may appear beautiful, but the bakery isn't reliable. Our entire experience at Got Desserts was fantastic from start to finish.

As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the owner. She was extremely friendly, and asked us if we’ve been in the shop before. We hadn’t been in and she went talked to us about what desserts she currently has.

We settled on the cheesecake stuffed cookie and chocolate dipped cheesecake. The chocolate dipped cheesecake was absolutely delicious. The cheesecake was light and had just the right amount of sweetness. The crust was incredible with just a hint of cinnamon that really set off all the flavors.

Now the cheesecake stuffed cookie was on a whole different level. It was the absolute best dessert I have ever eaten. The cheesecake filling had that lightness to it. The cookie was soft with the perfect texture.

If you haven’t stopped by just desserts in Bartow you need to run, not walk, to their shop. This is a place you can have your cake and eat it too. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the desserts are out of this world. I’m already looking forward to...
