What a beautiful place to visit. Peking ducks, wood ducks muskogee ducks, wood storks, geese, ibis, white and black swans and several song birds reside here. Great place to feed them and let the kids witness their behaviors. A must see if you are in downtown lakeland. Parking is along the road and sometimes it gets difficult to find parking there, however you can always stop by the Lakeland Library and park there.

Did you know that the first generation of swans on this lake were donated by Queen Elizabeth? Beautiful place for relaxing and meditation. If you are new to Lakeland please respect nature Dont disturbe animals, teach your kids to admire nature and be gentle, Don't leave trash when you leave and drive slow around the lake ( Birds are sometimes in the middle of the street ). Beautiful place at sunrise and sunset.

Saw many black and white swans. No paths where we were, but the wildlife was abundant. Ducks of varying kinds, storks, and even a couple cormorant possibly seemed unphased by our presence, allowing us to get close enough for good pictures. Exotic trees and beautiful houses in the adjacent neighborhood made this a very pleasant walk.

What a beautiful place to spend an afternoon with family or to have a picnic. If you are a bird lover this place had a large number of ring necked ducks wintering there. In addition there are many white and black swans, ibises, anhingas, mallards, geese and Muscovys. Lots of families with kids.

Very nice if you like big birds. Lots of beautiful swans of various types. White, black, and brown +. Also has geese and storks, white pelicans during the winter. Not sure why the swans and pelicans and other big birds stay here and not in the other lakes nearby like Morton or Mirror.

All I can say here is GO! This lake is absolutely gorgeous! The swans and about 50 other species of birds are spectacular. I'm a photographer and never have enough memory card space left at the end of the day. I have to use 2. Lots of picture opportunities.
