Kevin Jack Jewelry in Lakeland, FL created a piece for our family that is beyond words. He designed a solid gold heart pendant containing my husband’s ashes with custom engraving on the back. Next to the heart, is a key with an emerald on the chain because my husband was a locksmith and he will always “hold the key to my heart.” What made this even more meaningful is that the gold came from my first wedding ring that my husband gave me years ago. On the back, the there is an opening (completely secure and screwed in tightly) that my daughter can then add my ashes when I pass and carry us with her always.

Kevin uses advanced software and 3D printing technology to create mock-ups, so I could see and approve the design before the final piece was made. Kevin Jack at Jack Custom Jewelry is amazing! He does amazing work! I met him at a Bridal Expo in May 2024. I showed him my engagement ring and explained that my fiancé Trevor and I were having trouble finding a wedding band to fit it. I explained our troubles with finding a wedding band that would fit my unique engagement ring and all the options we had already exhausted trying to find one. He was very confident that he would be able to design something that would look as if it was made to fit the ring all along. I filled out the form in hopes of winning the free consultation.

Shortly after, he contacted me to let me know that I won a free consultation with him. My fiancé and I met with him over the summer and his attention to detail and our wants and desires for my wedding band were spot on! After scanning my ring with his really cool, 3-D jewelry scanner, Kevin rendered three different bands for us to choose from. Option one, was just a plain gold band, perfectly contoured to fit one side of my engagement ring, option two was a gold ring guard that hugged both sides of my engagement ring beautifully, and option three included gold bands on each side and diamonds on each side that perfectly hugged the contoured both sides of my ring.

Unfortunately, due to our financial constraints and the fact that we are paying for our wedding entirely on our own, we were unable to purchase either of the three options.

When we contacted Kevin and let him know we weren't going to be able to purchase any of them at this time, he was very understanding. We asked him to keep the rings on file and hopefully, on an anniversary many years down the road, option three will finally be a reality!

My husband had a ring his mother gave him as a teenager. We called it his brass knuckle. It was a solid gold ring of his name. Fifty years later, said ring has been sitting in my jewelry box for over 30 years. With the sentimentality of the ring, my husband did not want to part with it. We couldn't hand it down to our sons or grandson, since none of them have his name. So I suggested we recommission it into a new wedding band. He was reluctant. However, I found a picture of a ring I knew he would love. Then I luckily found Kevin. Kevin is not only gifted, professional, and personable. He is extremely passionate about what he does, and it shows.

After showing the picture of the ring I wanted made, Kevin had a render to me within days. And the new wedding band to me two weeks later. Just in time for Valentine's. I loved it so much, I had Kevin make one for me out of some old gold I had.

I was also lucky enough to meet with Kevin face-to-face and see some of his remarkable work. He also stayed in constant contact. I can't wait to work with him again in the future and see what amazing piece he can make from some old diamond rings.
