Bamboo Wok — Restaurant in Florida

I gave this restaurant five stars for its food quality and taste. It's a joy to watch its kitchen staff cooking the dishes tirelessly and efficiently. We've been ordering food-to-go for many years now. Still, the lady taking both phone and in-person orders (who must be the owner) is another matter entirely. She comes across as perpetually irritated, impatient, and put upon, as though the world has crossed her somehow, or that this universe has been playing some idiotic pranks on her, or imposing its sheer existence upon her. Since she's an inevitable part of patronizing this restaurant, my wife and I simply developed the useful habit of gazing at the cityscape of Hongkong on its wall. We've memorized every nook and cranny of that beautiful city, and lo and behold, it has saved us from so much angsts, stress, aggravation, anxiety, and self-doubts (well, there must be something in our looks or actions that sometimes sets this wonderful lady on edge). We wonder if she'd become ultra-wealthy already that she couldn't care less alienating some customers. Still, we would keep coming back, and coming back, because its house special lunches are just too delicious to abandon (plus free soda to boot). Someday, somehow, our smiles would succeed in trolling her with both...

Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Bamboo Wok. Let me explain. The woman that takes your order is extremely rude and dismissive. Everyone else, on the contrary, is pleasant and friendly.

At first I thought I might have merely misread the situation. Everyone has a bad day occasionally. But after going there this evening and experiencing the same negative disposition, I felt like I should say something. I said to her, “You seem very angry or maybe even sad. Is everything okay?” She ignored me and asked if I wanted to add to my order.

A younger gentleman stepped up and completed my order in a friendly, welcoming manner. I enjoy the food, but dislike the atmosphere when this lady is around. I do not understand why they have her interacting with customers if her facial expression and mannerisms are so off putting. Again, to be fair, I enjoyed the food, but there are plenty of other options with better customer service.

Food is really good, but that lady in front counter OMG she is so rude, always in a hurry when taking the order, I always told her I'm seafood allergic she gets an attitute, once I got pork fried rice I think they cooked in withthe same pot with shrimps I almost die have to run to ER, Next time I went I told, make sure not to use any utensils or anything with seafood they did again, I stop going like for a year but I really like they're food call today to order a lunch told again about seafood allergic and that same lady start arguing with me and hangup on me never again learn my lesson, and is sad because the food is good and good prices, I hope the owner realize how she is before loose business I'm not the only one have hard time...
