Zane's Tavern Willits — Restaurant in Basalt

Tried to stop here to eat; no host to seat so I go to the bartender who tells me to pick anywhere. After about 15 minutes we are greeted by our waiter, i asked for a water and he gave it to me with no ice in a cup that smelled terrible and my brothers sprite had ice in it. The waiter ignored us and took forever to wait on us when it was dead slow; we ordered fried pickles appetizer which were not ready by the time I was from the treatment. Then the waiter got in my face while I had my son on my hip saying I had to pay for these pickles which were not even brought out. I said I don’t care I’m not paying for the pickles they are not ready. He states well thats not how this works and that means it comes out of my check.... pretty sure that’s illegal. I have never been more appalled by the treatment from a waiter I felt scared and threatened when he got in my face. Being a smaller female with an infant in her arms. I gladly paid for the soda which was consumed. I just hope they make a change to...

The employees of this place are miserable, not friendly. I continue coming back to watch games, but knowing I have to deal with horrendous attitude. Food is good, but not that good..

As was discussed, this review was more about a culmination of experiences, 5 or 6 visits starting last fall through football season - specifically that the bartenders were consistently unfriendly, rude, and uncaring. Tonight my wife and I came in for a major sports game (NBA playoffs, specifically the Nuggets which would be considered a local team) and frustrated that most of the first quarter was missed because the bartender acted bothered to change the TVs in a sports bar. Maybe a small thing, but smacks of service across many visits.

That said, because Amy spoke to us and hopefully this feedback is seen/shared, we will give it another go next time we...

Let's start with the bad so I can build them back up. The serving staff IS great, but they were SUPER overworked. I counted 2 servers, each running around like crazy to cover everyone, with one bus boy. I noticed a lot of the people who entered after me having to wait upwards of 15 minutes for one of the servers to be able to get to them. Aside from this, I have no complaints. The food was DELICIOUS, and it came out quickly and was fresh, none of it was under a heat lamp for an hour. The restaurant was clean, they had numerous football games on, and the place was abuzz with content customers. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. The long wait wasn't so bad that it ruined things, but that's why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, because it won't let me give them 4.5 stars. Totally...
