Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Batesville

We tried to patronize this Freddy's a week after it opened; before then it was entirely packed with potential customers in, out & all around the property ~ a total madhouse! Our order included "California Burgers" which were served dry; no catsup, mayo, or sauce - especially NO avocado, which having grown up IN California is absolutely the distinctive feature of a CaliBurger! The meat patty was beyond Well Done, more like a charred meat-flavored chip the size of a coffee cup's bottom. To call this "steakburger" is an insult to the Beef Ranchers who are a major asset in our economy around here. We ordered onion rings but received shoestring fries because "we're out of rings." The totally deficient unsatisfactory order did arrive quickly, but was inedible & incorrect. Due to the massive crowd in & out we couldn't wait for a re-order. Here's hoping a Steak 'n shake opens up next door so freddy can learn How it's Done! The nearest one now is in Jonesboro & we'll go there to get a great steakburger done right, no...

For the amount of money I spent on a HAMBURGER, I expected SWISS cheese on my patty melt. I actually ASKED if it were real swiss cheese and was assured it WAS. It was WHITE YUCKY AMERICAN PROCESSED CHEESE FOOD. The sandwich would have been good with real cheese...but was a big dissapointment. Not tasty melted warm and stringy swiss...it was awful. The onions were good, and the bread was toasty. So 2 stars. I'm really surprised a place like this wouldn't have real swiss. I also thought I was getting 2 patties on the double, (I paid for a double according to the reciept) but only had one. The custard was ok, but they asked if I wanted Whipped Cream and a cherry, and I said yes, but i didnt get any. I ordered a turtle sunday, but only got chocolate sauce (and nuts) on it. I thought a turtle had CARMEL, chocolate and nuts. I know they just opened a week ago, so I'll go again and hope I get better, but I won't get anything with SWISS cheese, and certainly no prosesesed...

First time at Freddy's for the wife and I. It was a bright and very inviting place so the wife said, "let's go!" We had spent an hour hunting down the murals in Batesville and had built up a massive appetite. Every employee here had a friendly and inviting attitude. They were helpful and answered our questions about menu items cheerfully. Freddy's french fries are freaking fabulous. They are skinny and perfectly seasoned. When you dip them in Freddy's fry sauce it transports your taste buds to a level of delicious that ketchup could only dream of achieving. The burgers are flattened patties of real beef. They are bigger than the buns and taste oh so good! As we were eating, the cashier came to our table to ask how everything was and if we we're saving room for the custard.
