China One — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

First and foremost the guy running the restaurant has poor customer service. The young lady at the counter addressed me in a well manner. Seeing that it was my first time there she explained the menu and took a seat but was still waiting on me to decide my order. While I was reviewing the menu the guy comes from the back on the phone and starts to reprimand her for not addressing me in which she already had done so. So I ordered vegetable egg foo young with shrimp fried rice I waited 10 mins no problem started looking around and noticed the place could use some house keeping. They had a lot of bugs flying on and around the place as well. So I get to work and basically it’s not egg foo young it’s a bunch of broccoli thrown together mixed with a lil bit of egg and it’s burnt. I went back and shown the same guy the food and he got loud and obnoxious with me about how he’s been cooking it for over 20 yrs that way. Sir you just sold me basically a broccoli patty with no type of season to it what so ever. He got mad and tried to remake it using the same frozen broccoli and cabbage I said no. That dish is suppose to come with eggs thicken with onion carrrots and peas seasoned with a gravy sauce. He then refused to make me another dish at the same price. I've been coming here for over 20 years and this has always been the best Chinese restaurant.. But that changed on 9/19/21.. I ordered 4 plates of food got home and my order didn't have the shrimp fried rice which was okay.. But my daughter who ordered fried dumblings hers were burnt.. What I ordered ended up being so hard couldn't even eat everything and it later on gave me an allergic reaction which has never happened before.. My brother's shrimp in his rice ended up being fishy smelling and not tasteing good.. I called on Tuesday not even looking for a refund but to just explain my experience and to get some info some info.. All I said was "I'm calling about my order from Sunday, has there been a recipe change or was it under new management?".. The guy started saying something I couldn't understand not letting me explain anything and then hung up in my face.. 20 years of service...

Do not eat here, the staff are thieves. I went in on yesterday to order the sweet and sour soup, before I left I checked my order and realized the cashier took down the wrong order, instead of soup he brought out sweet and sour chicken. It was literally only one minute before I realized my order was wrong before I brought it back and that’s when he informed me that he can only give me back 50% of my money since he can’t resale the wrong order to anyone (which I’m sure he still did anyway). Being in the food industry thing like this happen, people order the wrong things all the time but I’ll never return there and they don’t like black people anyway even though most of their profits come from blacks.
