Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Upon entering this establishment for the first time I was greeted with kindness and friendly hospitality and ready to take my order. I was undecided on what to get so I decided to go with something a little simple and boy was I wrong them flavors was hitting on a different level of juiciness and flavorful!!

I got the smoked chicken and turkey with a side of okra and coleslaw.

Meats were delicious and so delicious and flavorful shoot out the chef back there doing his thing didn’t get his name. Okra was fresh, hot and crispy just how I like it. With flavorful meats as well!! I had tried they ribs as well and had my mouth watering with the amount of seasonings and spices this maybe my new bbq spot cause it on a different level!! I really did enjoy myself and with my family as well!! I will be returning in the future!! Thank you Dickey’s family...

Got the three meat Ribs, sliced Brisket, and chicken breast..I’m just gonna be brutally honest.. I’m a truck driver and I’ve ate barbecue all over the country , and I’ve had Dickies on more than one occasion, Now the brutally honest, they suck the ribs are tasteless , I’ve had better chicken breast in a nursing home , and the brisket is garbage as well.. the stuff is bland no seasoning, , the jalapeño bean suck, the bake potato casserole sucked wasn’t nothing good about it.. French bread was ok.. the sauce might as well been drinking vinegar horrible I’m done with Dickies .. I know barbecue and it’s many many varieties and this is low end garbage not worth your money ..but u can try and find out...

I’m currently pregnant with twins and let me tell you when the cravings hit, they come on strong lol. I was in the mood for a brisket grilled cheese which isn’t a sandwich they have on their menu. Connor who was preparing my food was amazing and so accommodating. He made me a brisket sandwich and added cheese and made some magic happen so that it turned out to be the closest thing to a brisket grilled cheese. Stephanie was great with her customer service and checking me out. Made sure I had everything I ordered and I added the spicy bbq sauce that they make in house. Will absolutely be back not just for the food but the comfortable atmosphere. They really know how to take care of...
