Duvic's — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Giving 2 stars because our server herself was fine and the drinks/food were good, but Landon, the employee who makes the food, was one of the rudest hospitality employees I have encountered in a while. When we first started ordering, when bringing our food over, he was constantly rolling his eyes and huffing but we didn’t think much of it, thinking maybe he was just having a bad personal day. When bringing out another one of our plates, he acted like we were bothering him for doing his job and when picking up our plates (only 2 plates out of 8 were cleared) he said “are y’all done? because you’re using up all of my plates” which was so unnecessary and so rude. Not sure what he was going though, but it doesn’t give you a right to take it out on us.

When bringing it up to the General Manager, Jay, there was nothing he could do because the kitchen is an entirely separate entity from the bar. Again, giving 2 stars for our server and drinks and food were fine, but Landon made us regret spending our hard-earned...

For a supposed cocktail bar, my bartender did not have the ingredients or did not know how to make the 2 classic cocktails I ordered.

The first, a Sazerac, had lemon juice in it (and likely no absinthe or Herbsaint). The second, a Last Word, had a red cherry liqueur (not a maraschino liqueur) and lime juice for some reason.

But service was quick and friendly.
