Zee Zees — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

We decided to visit ZeeZees for the first time during restaurant week. When we walked in none of the employees acknowledged us and after standing there awkwardly we were finally told to sit at whatever table we wanted. When we arrived there were about 4-6 other tables, overall it was pretty slow. We then proceeded to be ignored for 30+ minutes at our table, we were not given menus or drinks during that time. I understand that they may have been short handed, but the employees walked past our table several times and never once acknowledged or served us. There were even tables who came in after us that were served before us. Once the 40 minute mark hit and we were gathering our things to walk out a server finally came to our table. We decided to order our appetizers and main course at the same time since we had already spent enough time waiting. The food was okay overall, but the lackluster service left a really bad taste and we probably will...

Great place to go for drinks that will take you where you want to go for a reasonable price!! Even the moscato was strong! They also had multiple flavors of lemon drops but blueberry was great!

We got the nachos, lemon pepper wings, the juicy lucy burger and loaded fries on the side. I was happy they let me get the burger since it's a special for certain days. They also let me sub the regular side of fries to loaded fries for an upcharge. The nachos and loaded fries needed more cheese but otherwise were good. The burger was as expected and the onion strings were legit!! I could definitely see how the food would be AMAZING after a night of drinking!

Definitely would return for drinks and chill! We went at about 6:30 so it was very empty! I hear the later it gets, the more crowded it gets since it says...

Some of the workers here are really odd. (The ones at the door) When we first walked in the girl doesn’t even greet us just coldly demands to see our ID’s. Also no one told us there’s no service to the patio and no menus in general??? Like how are we supposed to just know this information. And while we were sitting on the patio the other door worker came up and asked to see our ID’s. Why?! We already showed them. Also, every bathroom in the place was out of order so we had to use the restrooms in another business next door. Everytime we would come back to Zeezee’s after using the restroom the same door worker would ask to see our ID’s again. I mean seriously? We should not have to show our ID’s more than once but we showed them 4 times last night.

The bartenders were great tho! Get some new door...
