Let me prefice this by saying that I love the Izzos in Metairie. Thats why the location in Baton Rouge is so disappointing. I’ve been to this location twice and each has been a let down to say the least. I walk in I go up to order. All of their ingredients were depleted and not appetizing. Each time they were scraping the bottom of the container for the pork as it clearly was not fresh. The steak and ground beef did not look fully cooked and also not fresh. The line movement was incredibly sporadic and I was constantly being moved back and forth between people. While I was in line I saw a guy walk in, make his own order, and leave like nothing happened. I feel like this is unprofessional but who am I to judge. I paid and sat down to eat (my poorly constructed burrito). I took a little of the foil off and the top was soaked in the juices of the meat as it had to been drained. Personally, I’m not a fan of a soggy tortilla. In conclusion, I would not recommend this to anyone, thats not to say I wouldn’t recommend Izzos as a whole, as I said the Metairie location is great. My husband and I arrived at 9:37 pm; we pulled up and the guy went to the door and locked the door. I knocked on the glass...he comes to the door and says that they close at 9:30 pm. LIES!!!!! The door and phone recording states that they close at 10:00 pm. So, I called to inquire the manager's name, he answers and tells me to hold on. He has one of his coworkers come to the phone talking about she was part of the management team-very unprofessional-so I knew better. She was no manager!!!! Then she attempts to tell me that they close at 9:00 pm on Sundays. They closed early so they wouldnt have to stay past 10:00 pm. HORRIBLE....turning customers away before closing time. Read moreNot going to lie, I don’t even get mad at food services. I work in a restaurant and understand it can be hard. But I just went to Izzos. I unwrap the foil to a split open burrito once I sit down to eat. After they did not listen to my boyfriend and charged us for a super burrito when his is the exact size (actually smaller) than my regular. He asked for a super and we were charged for it not realizing till we got home. We also got the larger meal deal. I was given a small drink and when I asked her if this was the large she didn’t respond and just handed me the cup. Also, from the start I couldn’t hear a word she was saying and I had to correct her on parts of the order as she was making it, I did not feel listened to at all. I was also charged for seasoned chicken when I got plain. Probably not going back....
