Pappa’s Venue — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

It took 15 minutes for the child to take our order. They were out of 3 sides. She tipped herself after I was given my total. Once I realized this I went to the counter for a refund. The child went to the back and came back out. She never said anything. So I asked about the refund and she snapped at me that somebody was coming. And then mumbled under her breath. When I said excuse me? She said I WASNT EVEN TALKIN TO YOU!!! BABY I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THEM AGAIN!!! Had they shown a little sense of urgency, and not tried to tip themselves I would have stayed. They USED TO BE GOOD!

You sent a reply that you gave the customer an itemized receipt. LIES!!! I was never given a receipt for anything. I went to my credit card app for my charge. When I was issued a refund, I took a picture of that transaction from a cell phone. Check your reviews. Notice many of your previous customers saying THE YOUNG LADY AT THE COUNTER HAS A NASTY ATTITUDE!...

I visited Pappas on Friday May 11 for the first time and the experience was horrible. 1. Parking is horrible, drive around the backside of the restaurant and you see at least 10 broken down vehicles taking up parking spaces ( front parking has about 6 Spaces . 2. Ordered red beans, rice and chicken wings, 15 mins after being seated we were told that they ran out of beans (poor Communication between kitchen and front desk staff). 3. Went to the restroom ( disaster waiting to happen) non of the electrical outlets had covers, could have been shocked while turning the light switch on. 4. Since I couldn’t get red beans, I settled for rice and gravy, which had NO season (tasted like water). My wife asked for salt and was told that they had NO salt shakers “really”??? I have liked Pappa's, but recently it just has not had good food quality. I ordered red beans & rice with 3 chicken wings, with an extra cornbread muffin. The beans had a lot of rice in them and were dry, the potato salad was HORRIBLE; no taste with bad consistency and fell apart! The service was slow, and when I finally received my plates, it was good I checked them because they left my extra muffin off. When I brought it to their attention, they handed me a dollar and said they were out of muffins. Now if I had not said anything, they would've kept my money and stiffed me on the muffin!
