Uncle Earl's — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Last night a couple of my friends and I went to Uncle Earle’s and were immediately greeted with what looked to be 5 guys. We couldn’t figure out who actually worked there as multiple of them had a drink in their hand including the guy that checked our IDs. When we went up to the bar all of the bartenders look annoyed and then triple checked our IDs and almost didn't serve us due to our out of state licenses. We then ordered a couple things and went to sit outside. This is also when we also saw multiple people stumble out of the bar having been clearly overserved. That’s when we noticed how much we were charged and went inside to ask for an itemized receipt. We had to stand at the bar for 5 mins while the bartenders were completely turned away from the bar vaping. Turns out they charged us for doubles we didn’t ask for causing us to have $12 drinks while they also never notified us that we were given doubles we again, didn’t order. I have been a bartender for years along with another woman in the group and we can confidently say the drinks we had were not doubles. Overall did not have a great experience. It felt like we were overcharged and taken advantage of due to having out of state licenses and...

Very spacious and modern. It has a large stage for live music. It also has a VIP Section in the back as well as an outdoor patio in the front.

Personally, I would recommend that the Bar offer a little more variety in alcoholic beverages. More Exotic & Foreign Beers. More Traditional Cocktails and Wines. Uncle Earl’s already has an impressive selection. But if you want to be competitive in the race. The more, the merrier.

The Management & Staff at Uncle Earl’s are hands down, the friendliest that I’ve seen in quite some time. They relish your business and go above and beyond in service. This should give them a powerful edge over other places that sometimes act like customers are plentiful & replaceable. Here, they truly appreciate your business.

Also, this is a great place for Private Parties and gatherings. There are plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sports.

It has a great location, easy to get to from wherever you live. The parking is in the rear of the strip-like mall.

I’ve been dragged here quite a few times, and can honestly say this place kinda really sucks. The service is mediocre, always minimal communication, straight faces and completely disinterested vibes. The drinks suck. More specifically, the mixers (soda, juice) that come from that dirty tap leave everything with an unfiltered nasty tap water taste. Has happened with every drink I’ve had, nearly overpowers the taste of the whatever else, and the drinks are really overpriced for a bar ($12-13 for single vodka sprite, crown coke w low quality well liquor). I’ve found black stuff floating around in my cup on more than one occasion. Lastly, the music SUCKS more often than not.
