My family of 3 went here and all ordered subs. I had to drive back from my home in pennfield once I unwrapped my sub and immediately saw the tomato I asked not to be on my sub. I remembered the several no refunds signs posted in the small store so I knew calling to get a partial refund was off the table. When I walk back in the lady that took my order asked if there was an issue and I said "there's tomato on this" and the lady recalled which specific sub that was and apologized. A few moments later she asks me if I want them to just take the tomatoes off or if I want a new sub, as if I couldn't have just taken them off myself if I felt that was sufficient to avoid the drive all the way back to the store. Asking that question at all is extremely unprofessional, and frankly quite condescending and rude. I told her I need a new sub. A few more moments go by as the lady and 2 other workers converse and then she tells me that she read the order back to me just before I paid so there must have been a miscommunication. Again, as if to say I am to blame for this mistake. She knew exactly which of the 3 subs it was as soon as I told her that it had tomato on it and shouldn't. The strange behavior, attempts to dodge responsibility, and attempts to not actually remake the item correctly when brought back caused me not to trust the food being served whatsoever. Its the 4th of July. I wanted to support a local small business that was open today. I really wanted to have a good experience as I've had quite a bit recently with the small restaurants in town. Unfortunately this was extremely disappointing and a waste of...
Read moreTerrible service. Was very rude to my husband after making a mistake on the sandwich. He asked for no tomato and they tried to gaslight him, told him HE was wrong, and said "do you want me to just take it off?" (Obviously a disrespectful question) then "do you ACTUALLY want me to make a new one?" Instead of just having a normal decent level of customer service and making a new one. Thats not how allergies work. You can't just remove the unwanted ingredient and act like it never happened. Do the right thing. Probably why yall are slow and can't get business! Apparently to them, "No refund" policy means also they also argue with you & won't remake it when they mess up. BUYER BEWARE *edit since yall replied with more gaslighting: The conversation you supposedly had with him about allergies never occurred so that entire part of the conversation you had with him was completely fabricated. Plus, you should respect the customers preferences regardless of allergy or not. The point is you can't admit a mistake. He never asked for tomatoes and when you repeated it back you did NOT say tomato. And he answered when the order was repeated back so that part you claim "no one answered"...
Read moreMy last two experiences have not been good. Today my salad was made wrong and was also missing the egg. I asked them to add it and the girl who went from handling cash and answering the phone, grabbed the egg (without washing her hands) and put it through the slicer. I kindly asked if she could wear gloves when handling the food and she did for the second egg she sliced but you would think they would have had the courtesy to remake it at that point. When I called she claimed to be the manager, I would hope a manager would know basic food safety. The second salad was for a friend so I didn't realize hers was also missing half the ingredients until she received it. I really love this place and try to be understanding of new staff member and new changes. Double check your orders before leaving. Hopefully they’re able to get...
