Taco Bell — Restaurant in Battle Creek

The front of house staff Is always smiling and polite- the restaurant is super clean. Even for fast food, the speed of service is excellent fairly consistently. Anytime I have had an issue with them the management team is always eager and insistent on making things correct even if its at a later date (I live about 20 mins way from the store so if there is a problem its often not worth driving another 45 mins to get things right- but they have always made it up to me on the next visit). Over all, this store is one of my favorites between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.

My only complaint- my biggest complaint- is that I don't think the people working in the kitchen know the difference between their butts and the burritos. Their order accuracy is in the toilet. Case in point- Today I went in an placed a $30 take out order. They had it ready in less then five minutes. Everyone was super polite and even though the majority of the people around me seemed to have big orders, they were pumping them through. Get home, and everything that was suppose to not have tomatoes had extra tomatoes. I ordered a chips and cheese and while they remembered the cheese they forgot the chips. One of the tacos was suppose to have a spicy ranch sauce and it had sour cream on it instead.

Called the store and the manager was super nice about it an extremely apologetic. She offered to remake what they had messed up and when I told her I didn't want to drive the 45 mins again she offered to send me a post card to have it made right the next time through. We actually had a fairly lengthy conversation in which we were both laughing and joking at the end of.

Bottom line- Great food, amazing service, terrible accuracy. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER...

Cash only in the drive thru which means 2 things 1. Something is broken (so fix it) 2. The lobby POS has a working credit card reader (walk over and use it and viola business as usual)

This doesn't really bother me what pissed me off is the woman in the drive thru says "we are cash only in the drive thru, but you're welcome to come in and pay with a card in our lobby as long as you run over our 2nd window platform"

Are you kidding me? You want to inconvenience your customer base by making them come in, but you want me to run over your window sensor so your drive thru time goes down and you can pretend to act like you do your damn job when your boss walks in and sees a fabricated drive thru time. So you can lean against a wall and flip thru your phone instead of doing what you're paid to do.

So in summary:

We can't take a card thru the drive thru, walk your ass inside if you want to use a card because we are wayyyy too damn lazy to walk 5 steps to the front counter POS. By the way do me a solid and run over my pad so I look better to my boss while I act like everyone else and do jack...

Super unimpressed, went through the drive-thru with my girlfriend an hour and a half before she worked and I got a party pack for nachos with steak and no beans. Come to find out as we are pulling out that they never even read our order and decided to just make it regular so I go into the lobby after this information was revealed to me to find out there's five other people waiting on their orders. I've worked at Taco Bell's before and they get timed on there drive-thru and it's a ranking system and supposedly they were ranked highest when I was working and I think the reason is for them only be concerned with the drive-thru and none of the customers up front. I talked to one of the ladies there and she explained she had been waiting for 20 minutes. Extremely disappointed. Had only 20 minutes before I had to bring my girlfriend to work, I would not recommend this Taco Bell to anyone in the area. It's always this one that's been messing...
