Torti Taco — Restaurant in Battle Creek

This Mexican food was pretty much on point I decided to do the tacos which won them the taco showdown detroit 2018 and also I believe Kalamazoo showdown I opted do try my favorites like barbacoa, el pastor and saudero I did cheese and onions everything was quite delicious and seemed very authentic. I also got beans and rice the beans were great rice was okay but not the style I prefer. Queso fanatic like me had to try the queso blanco which was very much n point with a great price point of $1.50 for a 4oz cup. My fiancé had the deluxe nacho’s which I am not a fan of nachos but tried them and it was very tasty she got ground beef as protein and had ton of refried beans lots of cheese and a heaping dollop of fresh quacamole and various other typical toppings. They offer a salsa bar with around ten different types of sauces like avacodo creama and different heat levels my fave was the Al pastor rojo which had a nice heat level. All in all was fairly decent price for authentic tacos I will definitely return when possible so sombrero’s off to Torti Taco for keeping my cultures authentic...

I am a regular here!!!! This is the best place ever UNLESS you ever get the ONE guy that works here, not sure if he is the owners son or what but he is the absolute worst and I hate ever getting him. His name is Adrian and he ignores us the entire time, never gets us our order and genuinely gives the worst service I have ever seen. He was set to serve me this last time I ate and he didn’t take my order, didn’t get my drinks, didn’t do anything and yet it was his table. I feel SO bad for these girls that have to work with him and do everything for him and this is the second time I have experienced this. But if you get the GIRLIES they are the BESTTTT they know what we want to order before we even tell them, they give the best service and make the best drinks! Just hate that this gentlemen brings the establishment down, I will probably be walking out from now own if I get the gentlemen cause I don’t have 2 hours for lunch. If you get any of the women I put on here it will be the best ever! I always tip these girls so well cause they are so good at their jobs and deserve...

2020 This is my new review for this restaurant! First the tacos are amazing! I ordered 2 chicken tacos, chips that were nice and warm, and I picked up some homemade salsa from the salsa bar. This experience I recieved today is exceptional and I hope to keep coming back in the future. 2019

I read so many good reviews I was excited to try.

First the good. The food was brought to the table in a quick and timely manner. The food was warm.

The bad. The menu is on a large board and to see what you wanted to order you had to grab a take out menu. The menu was confusing and left out what platters included as well as combos. It seems you have to consistently go there to know what to order. The meal seemed overpriced for the portion size. The chicken fajitas upset my stomach and when brought to the table had a orange tint, which I assume was the seasoning or sauce.
