I went to the location in Jackson, not Battle Creek but the text I received asked me to review Sleep Doctor/Battle Creek. This is for Sleep Doctor in Jackson.

I chose to check out Sleep Doctor first because of the low delivery and old mattress removal prices. When I walked in I told the salesman I was looking to stay around $1000. He had me lay on a couple mattresses. I absolutely loved the second one. I asked about the price and it was a little over $3000. No where near the budget we had discussed. That is the reason for the lost star. He said the mattresses I laid on gave us a baseline so we knew what I was looking for. He then took me to some other mattresses that were just as comfortable and within my budget. We could’ve started there since my budget was discussed when I first walked in the store. He did knock a little off the price tag since I was buying off the floor. I was not home for the delivery, but it sounded like it went really quick and hassle free. I would recommend Sleep Doctor to friends and family, but I would suggest they ask mattress prices before even lying on a mattress, even if budget is discussed...

Bought two mattresses from this company, one a plush and another firm. We bought in Florida where we found them at a show where they had a vendor booth set up. After delivery it turned out that the firm was just too hard. Called the company and their sales guy who handled our purchase, Chip, called me back the same day. I was expecting the run around but very pleased to say it could not have gone smoother. Chip handled everything just fine and professional. Mike, who is one of their managers flew down from Michigan, picked up the new one and delivered it to my house. Unbelievable service from these great folks. We went into the store just to take a look. Shawn was there to help us out. He went well above and beyond to help us decide which mattress would work best for us. He never pressured us or steered us to a particular brand but aimed to get what was right for us. He went so far as to set up a new mattress not yet on display (it was pretty nice!) and ran an extension cord to beds that were not powered yet and a multitude of other small personal services not typically found these days. If you need a bed and want to try them, I bet he would even give you a blanket to nap with - that is the type of customer service we got from Shawn and it made us feel welcome, special and not the least bit uncomfortable.
