Gave 2 extra stars for the restaurant reviewing my review and responding with solutions! Appreciate you!

Food was bland but acceptable. Seemed like unwarmed ramen though, like a microwaved tonkatsu you would buy and microwave at home as far as the noodle tasts. Service was great by the server. Only one small mistake with order which was a thai tea with no boba, it ruined the thai tea taste and tasted like straight up boba. Server was attentive and friendly though and i did not complain about anything. But seating a couple behind us with a kid that came in after us and was kicking the seat behind me was just bad service. Why sit a couple with a young kid that came in AFTER us right behind us. There was plenty of other booths or seats.

There was another couple with a kid on the other side of the person i was sitting with as well.

Maybe sit a couple with no kids away from the 2 other familes with kids and dont sand which them between that. What is that was a business meeting and meal with a colleague or customer, that would have been a headachefor sure. What about a date? Hearing a kid cey and stuff and kick a seat.

Next time when you seat families with young kids seat them away from the majority of people.

Be mindful of where you seat your guests.

And guests be considerate of other guest as to not have...

Ippin Ramen has been a great addition to the options available in the Brainard Lakes Area. Each visit I have been greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately (even Saturday evenings). The servers are knowledgeable and attentive, but give you the space to enjoy a peaceful meal. The gyoza and/or edamame have made for a great appetizer pair and would recommend not skipping out on them. The Char Sui Ramen is a go-to with a nice depth to the tonkotsu without becoming too heavy with the pork belly. On the sushi side, the fish presented is fresh and the rolls are prepared well. As a warning, most of the dishes within the Special Rolls section come with a good amount of eel sauce that may distract from the flavor profile of the fish. Lastly, the atmosphere here is charming in a sense, but doesn't feel as cozy as it could be. This is probably due to the facility being transformed from another restaurant so I can't harp on this too much. That being said, Ippin is a go-to in my book and I recommend it to friends/family when they venture up...

my wife and I went here for her birthday. We will start with the atmosphere, I love that they played authentic music, and that the decorations of this place make you feel like you’re walking into a actual sushi bar in Japan. The servers there were super nice, and I noticed that they were interacting with all the customers which I thought was really cool. It was super cool to see the owner himself rolling sushi. our server was absolutely excellent and checked on us multiple times, but with a very appropriate time gaps between visits. I will admit at first, I was kind of concerned about the prices of the Ramen bowls, but then I got my bowl and I have to say this fella could easily charge $25 for these bowls and it would be worth it. we got the sun shine sushi roll, and the calamari rings as well and those were absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely be back. In fact, we even talked about doing a double date with our neighbors while we were there eating. I have to say I’m pretty sure I have a new favorite...

Decided to try Baxter, MN sushi from Ippin Ramen & Sushi based on the awesome, all positive Google reviews. We ordered takeout since we had our dog with us. FOOD: The sushi was delicious! We ordered the Baxter Roll, Yummy Roll, and a California Roll for good measure. The California roll met expectations. We mostly ordered the Baxter Roll (without white sauce) because of the name, but it was really good! The Yummy Roll was very tasty as well. TAKEOUT ORDERING: Online ordering required payment upon pickup (not when ordering). Pickup was a breeze. A staff member greeted me upon entry, I stated I had a takeout order, made my payment and was on my way. TLDR: Can confirm as Twin Cities millennials that the sushi at Ippin Ramen is legitimately good!

Seeing the reviews I was very excited to try their food. The steamed buns and harumaki did not disappoint but the char sui ramen was very bland for $17. I've had plenty of cheap instant ramen that was better. I'm the type of person who usually finishes the whole bowl broth and all but this was just eh and not worth it. It's like they forgot to season it, watered it down, or missed adding the tare. My partner got the beef donburi. That was also meh for the price. I don't think we'll be going back. Only thing that might get us to go back is if they had a steamed bun platter since there were allloooootttt better than the entree. In summary, appetizers blew our socks off, mains were not worth it at all.
