Where do I even begin? This place is an absolute train wreck, both in terms of the food they serve and the way they treat their employees. Let me break it down for you:
First off, my poor boyfriend is stuck working here while he waits to escape to a better job. But instead of understanding his situation, they're writing him up for calling out – even when it's for legitimate reasons! Like that time there was a freakin' blizzard outside and we couldn't even leave our driveway because it was so dangerous. We live next to not one, but two lakes, so risking our lives just to make it to a Taco Bell shift is out of the question.
Then there was the funeral incident. A man lost his life in a tragic accident during those same awful weather conditions. My boyfriend needed to be there to support our community, but they still gave him grief for it.
And don't even get me started on my pregnancy. I'm 39 weeks in, practically ready to pop, and experiencing contractions. Of course, my boyfriend called out to be with me during this crucial time, and they still had the nerve to give him a hard time about it.
But it's not just the way they treat their employees – their customer service is abysmal too. They only care about their precious drive-thru times, so if you dare to order more than a few items, they'll make you wait at the speaker until they're good and ready to take your order. It's like they think your time isn't valuable.
And good luck trying to dine in! They randomly close the inside whenever they feel like it, leaving you with no choice but to go through the drive-thru. And even if you go inside, there's no guarantee they'll actually make your food until you complain about the wait. There was a customer that had waited 45 minutes for her food when she went inside the store.
Also when looking up the Baxter, MN Taco Bell, I stumbled upon a plethora of negative reviews, but one in particular left me utterly shocked. There was a video circulating in 2019 of a deaf man attempting to place his order at the drive-thru window, understandably unable to use the speaker. But instead of accommodating him, the employee at the window flat-out refused to take his order, citing some absurd "company policy" that prohibits taking orders at the window. Which he could’ve went inside the store, but knowing that Taco Bell the inside was probably closed. That's blatant discrimination, plain and simple. It's just another glaring example of the abysmal treatment customers and employees alike receive at this establishment. It's as if they go out of their way to make everyone's experience as miserable as possible. This place is a disgrace, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.
Oh, and did I mention they shortchanged my boyfriend on his paycheck? Yeah, they conveniently "forgot" to pay him for all the hours he worked, and when he brought it up, they just shrugged and said they'd fix it on the next paycheck. Real helpful when you're about to have a baby and have bills to pay.
And don't even get me started on their cleanliness standards. Apparently, they only bother to clean up when corporate comes around to inspect. So who knows what kind of gross stuff is lurking in the back?
Honestly, I could go on and on about this place, but I'll just say this: it's a complete dumpster fire. Save yourself the headache and avoid it at all costs – even if you're desperate for a taco fix, Taco Johns would be a better business to support. Trust me, it's...
Read morei went last night and had a 100$ bill. I never got told I couldn't pay with a 100$ so I figured it would be ok, after I ordered my food i pulled up the window to pay and that when he finally told me i couldn’t pay with a 100$ because they couldn’t split it and that was perfectly fine i was fine with splitting it and coming back, but the way they handled it was really irritating and honestly pissed me off. the fact that i sat in line for 30 minutes before i got my food was already irritating enough and then i get told i cant use a 100 to pay so i have to go split it and wait another 30 minutes in line behind 10 cars its ridiculous for a fast food restaurant, my food was already made and had been sitting for 30 minutes after i ordered because they made me go back through the line of cars in the drive-through. its absolutely ridiculous someone could have opened the doors so I could pay for my food instead of having to wait another 30 minutes and let it get soggy and disgusting, and when i got my food the shells were of course soggy and stale from waiting and sitting for 30 minutes in line after going to holiday and splitting my hundred like they told me to do, plus there was no discount or no apology for how how long i had to wait im really disgusted by how this was handled fast food is supposed to be fast, not take a whole hour to get, stop being lazy, and maybe warn people before they try to order their food that they cant pay with a 100$ bill right now. if i would’ve known, i would have to split it before i came, i wouldn’t have ordered yet if i got told i couldnt pay with a 100$ right now. I would have went and got it split and came back to order so my food wasn’t gross. i drove from 20 minutes away thinking this will be quick and easy to get but ended up sitting from 12:30-1:30 waiting for my food really disappointed in taco bell because its my favorite fast food place but i will be taking my business somewhere...
Read moreI work construction specifically in the concrete area not all the time do I get the option of being able to leave one job site to go to the next and have enough time to grab a meal, today is one of those rare occasions. there are only two fast food places I eat in the Brainerd Baxter area taco Bell and Pizza hut I don't go anywhere else. This morning at about 10 I had the option of being able to stop and I chose taco Bell. Place my order for the number 3 will soft shell taco into additional hard shell tacos, gave the young lady at the counter a $50 bill she leaves the counter comes back and says that she can't cash it that they just changed out the till. isn't procedure at that point to notify your mod or manager and go in the back and make change? to me it came across more as an inconvenience to your staff to have to do that don't think I'll be eating taco Bell again. maybe from here out if I choose to eat outside of me bringing my own lunch I'll have a pizza delivered to...
