I stopped into this location Sunday night around 5:40pm. There was only 2 other people in the entire store, and both had their coffee already. After I walked in, I stood in by the checkout for a good 5 minutes before any acknowledged me. Finally, I saw a girl moving slowly from the back of the store (where I assume there is a place to hang out for employees) to make her way to take my order. My order was simple: 1/2 dozen bagels - I didn't need any cream cheese and I didn't want my bagels cut either. After the girl took my order, she stared at me blankly and said "we're all good" and I was confused, because she wasn't reaching 2 feet behind her to take 20 seconds to bag up my bagels. Instead, she told me: "She'll put your bagels on the counter when they are ready" referring to some other employee. I then continued to wait to my bagels. The girl who took my order did place 1 single other order while I was waiting for my bagels. The order placed behind me both had their iced coffees before anyone seemed to be working on my bagel order. By the time I got my bagels, it had been a total of 15 minutes (reminder that I was basically the only person in the store at this point). 15 minutes to grab 6 bagels and put them in a bag. It was incredibly frustrating to say the least. I did notice a girl that was working the drive through orders. That particular employee was working her tail off. I easily watched her make 7 or 8 coffee drinks while I was waiting. I want to be specific in case the store manager reads these reviews. This was at 5:40pm on Sunday, September 8th. There seemed to be about 4-5 employees working. I will be avoiding coming back to...

I ordered a nitro brew beverage- almondmilk, no whip, NO DAIRY. I am very sensitive to cow's milk...cheese is kind of ok...but no "raw" milk.
The barista asked me if I wanted whip. I said I wanted the espresso, but NO DAIRY PRODUCTS. No regular whip. She added the esspresso whip and...made eye contact while putting the cow's milk whip on my beverage. Stunning. Apparently we can just "scrape it off." Sounds fake but ok. I will appreciate the small amounts of dairy now contaminating my beverage. My guest informed me that it was rude of me to not drink my beverage. I took a large swig to prove a point. I encountered a strange, alien taste — cow's milk. My beverage wasn't dairy free. It was quite the opposite, in fact.
This isn't the first time this has happened, either.
I will think of this place as my stomach swells like a painful balloon.
I'm lucky I'm not allergic to milk — otherwise I might be dead. Food sensitivities aren't trendy, they aren't funny, and you shouldn't expose your clientele to things they don't want just to prove a point.
I will vote with my dollars and happily go somewhere else.
UPDATE: They gave me a corporate number to call. customer service at its finest. Also, depending on which employee you ask, some things are dairy-free but also aren't. They also give varying answers on the cross-contamination of a single...
Read moreAh so nice to be in Caribou coffee country again after living in the world of Star$$$$'s for so long. Ok, I've always been a fan of CC and was looking forward to my first visit in a really long time as I've just moved to the area. I must say I was rather disappointed in the service. Cashier was chatting away with a customer/friend which is fine if you don't have three people in line waiting for a caffeine fix. I was awakened by the sound be of "Next" and immediately ordered a large hot coffee and the response was "oh we're sorry b it we are out of hot coffee but we can make some if you would like to wait. I wanted my CC so I agreed to wait and paid for it. Grab a paper and go sit by the fake fireplace, some time goes by and I keep glancing up to catch the eye of the associate and see saw me twice so I figured the coffee is still being, transported, roasted, ground and brewed. Finished the paper, went up to see what the delay was about only to be greeted by a "your coffee is over there", I said thank you, grabbed my coffee, got in the car and got my first time ever sip of not-so-hot Caribou Coffee as it must've been sitting awhile at the ready counter. I actually saved it till I got home and nuked it for a delightful cup of coffee so while the product still taste great I have many misgivings about the service at this...
