I NEVER leave reviews, but this place was definitely worth it! HIGHLY recommend!!!
My boyfriend and I were on a road trip a few weeks ago when we came across Brooklyn Boyz. Let me tell you... BEST VEGAN PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD. Brooklyn Boyz will be my go-to for pizza from now on, which says a lot considering I live almost two hours away.
Not only was their food amazing, but so was the atmosphere. It's a very warm and welcoming restaurant. The staff is very friendly. Cecelia was our bar tender, and she was great. She brought out samples of the pizza sauce so my boyfriend could decide which one he wanted on his pizza. There was a miscommunication about the toppings that my boyfriend wanted, and to accommodate us, Cecelia had given us each a basket of garlic knots (they have a vegan option!!!). The owner (who was modest enough to just call himself the manager), was also up at the bar talking to us and assisting his staff with orders. He brought out an olive oil mixture for us to try with our bread knots (which was amazing, by the way). He's a very genuine and passionate man. You can tell he cares about his customers and his staff, and that he puts a lot of time and energy into his business.
Thank you guys so much for the amazing food and service. I can't wait to come back! P.S. Open more Brooklyn Boyz across the U.S.! We need more places and...
Read moreCame in straight up noon on Sunday and were the only ones in the place. Good music playing though 😀.
I ordered the breaded mushrooms from the menu and the waitress said they don't have them 🤔. She said she had bartended last night and would check...they have them 🙂
The mushrooms were perfect! Crunchy outside with a nice size mushroom inside. You get there sauces to choose from so we got marinara, cheese and blush which is a mix of marinara and Alfredo.
Ordered a large pizza banking on the hope the pizza is that good to have leftovers for dinner....
We're having delicious leftovers tonight! The crust was just the right edge thickness. Crispy on the bottom and a good chew to it. The sauce was just enough to keep things on the pizza 😀 We ordered extra cheese and that was about right, not sure I would have liked the regular amount of cheese. Toppings were good, especially the sausage. Very tasty and good spice to it.
Our waitress was friendly and came over enough times to keep my soda filled and check on hubby's beer.
Prices are good, especially for the size pizza we got (18"). Parking was ok for us but I'm sure it might get tight on the weekends.
We'll definitely be back and don't forget to check in on Yelp for 50% off an appetizer! Plus if you text in (info at the front door)...
Read moreGarlic knots were fantastic! Wife ordered the “Saturday Special” squash ravioli and said it was “very delicious” but the portion was too small and it did not have a “special” lower price. In fact, we noticed that it was just as expensive as all of the other pasta dishes (all above $20). My son and I decided to have the so called “New York Style” pizza…We were hoping to be “WOWED” considering the wonderful garlic knots, but instead, we waited a very long time and were very disappointed….I ordered a medium “specialty” pizza (Supreme) yet there was nothing special about it…just kind of plain and lousy with a very small amount of toppings….We both agreed that the pizza did not taste or resemble anything nearly as good as any pizza that we had in New York City. My son ordered a medium 3-item pizza, that came to the table with an extra item (mushrooms) that he did not want. Instead of having to return the pizza to be remade he picked the item off of the pizza. He also agreed that the pizza was “nothing special”, and “quite pricey” considering that it was just “middle of the road” pizza with too few toppings and cheese. Doubtful that we will return for just “so-so” expensive pizza and very small portions of high-priced pasta. However, we might return for takeout of the...
