Cops & Doughnuts - Sutherland Precinct — Restaurant in Bay City

If I could give zero stars for how this company handles customer care, I would. Honestly, I’ve never had an issue before today. Our family has loved Cops. This evening, though, I called and spoke with Alexia who was unwilling to do anything for me, as three of the five donuts I purchased were hard as rocks. They had to have been SEVERAL days old. I’ve gotten raw cinnamon rolls from this place before, and they’ve always been so considerate and concerned when that happens (yes, we still went back bc of the fact that whoever was on duty stood behind the product and obviously was embarrassed that they had sold us raw donuts). Conversely, this evening’s phone call (5:40pm Thursday, March 9, 2023) might’ve been one of THE most unpleasant exchanges I’ve ever had with anyone. I was kind, honest, and explained the situation in great detail. Instead of a rational, caring response, I got nothing but silence on the other end of the line. When I asked if we were to just, “eat our hard donuts”, she responded with, “Okay” (which honestly didn’t even make sense given my question). Came in at closing on the 3.12.21. What was left was at far left. Girl was not friendly, like a robot. Understandable it's 15min til closing. She bagged our few items, I had my teen with me & im still looking. She never asked if that was all so rang it up, removed glove. I saw 3 handpies & asked, she huffed & puffed put on another glove & put them in bag & rang until up again,. Senior lady came in & stood at counter. My kid was at the plexiglass so I handed her my card beside it cause that's where I was standing. She refused & pointed to the hole in plexiglass. Had to ask both ppl to scoot so I could hand it in hole like it made any difference. Long counter, 1 small plexiglass & handing card in 1 area really made such a difference. Lolo makes no common sense. Sugar shamrock cookie was so dry & flavorless. Lemon bars looked like a elephant sat on them. Cannoli & long horn & handpies were decent. Very disappointed. Common sense gone. Courtesy gone. That late the food should be discounted cause it was so dry &blah from opening & closing. Pb cookie just...

Went there for 4 years now. They are getting very very skimpy on the squealer. It has maple on it with bacon on top. They use to put a good amount of maple on the squealer but now they are giving less than 1/2 of teaspoon on a whole donut. It's crazy. We tried about three different times because everyone has a off day but now I see for almost $3 they are cheating out of maple and we won't pay that price for no maple. Sorry cops and donuts, we tried but no more donuts for us.(Replying to the post that the manager left) That donut is definitely NOT the same as it was since we have been going there. I am making anyone know that if you want a good hardy squealer donut, this is NOT the place to go especially for almost $3. Take your money elsewhere because that donut is weak with maple donuts and I do not think it's right for them also be advertising it as "not changed" when it clearly had been changed especially with almost less than 1/2 of teaspoon of maple.
