This was my first time eating here. I ate inside the restaurant. I ordered the Don Corleon Pizza. It was so delicious! The ingredients were very fresh and the crust was baked to perfection. I've read reviews and comments that said their pizzas come out burnt. I did not experience this. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely return for the food. I would like to leave an additional comment about the physical appearance of this restaurant. Upon entering I noticed it was a small place, quaint and had potential. I felt that the owners are not bringing out the full potential of this establishment as it lacked spirit in the decor, and was not clean enough for a place where people dine and food is prepared and eaten. I noticed dirty floors, chairs, tables and walls. There were cob webs in the corners of the room. The sign on the side of the building said, Gulino's Pizza and Sons. It should have been written, Gulino's and Son's Pizza.
I would feel much better about eating at this establishment if it were cleaned up to a better standard as I'm sure with it being a smaller space would not take a lot of effort to do. If you care about you customers, you should care enough to run a business that is clean and free of dirt and grime. Nobody wants to see that as soon as they walk in to a restaurant, especially for the very first time.
Like I said, the food and service was excellent and I have no complaints about that. I highly recommend them for their food. I just hope that their kitchen is cleaner than their dining...
Read moreFirst things first, I’ve never had Gulino’s pizza prior to this evening. I called and ordered a takeout 12” Margherita pizza. Staff were beyond helpful with the few questions I had, and were exceptionally friendly both over the phone & in person. Secondly, when I walked into this establishment, this place smelled like an Italian version of heaven. I’ve never been in a restaurant where my first reaction was to take a secondary giant whiff of the air because I couldn’t believe my nostrils. I was then greeted by smiling faces, staff used my name throughout the payment transaction which is a first for me, it felt like I was part of the family in there. I paid for my food and was thanked for coming in & wished a good night. The drive home was SO. FREAKING. LONG. The smell of this pizza was so amazing that I almost pulled over and devoured my food on a side street. I got home, and immediately dug into a slice of Margherita pizza heaven. I have NEVER had a better tasting, more clearly freshly made pizza in my life. Never. Gulino’s has officially blown me away with their food, on top of their customer service. I will be returning many, MANY times over in the very near future, and telling everyone I know about this fantastic place. Just wow. I have never had such an amazing experience, and neither have my tastebuds. Thank you for existing,...
Read moreHands down one of the best pizzas we've had in a long time. Decided to give it a try based on previous reviews and glad we did. Don't come here expecting your standard run of the mill adaptation of a pizza. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. The outer edge of the crust was airy and chewy and the front was thin and crisp and perfectly baked in their brick oven. It reminded me of pizza we had while visiting Rome. I had the Don Corleone, wife had BBQ Chicken and our daughter gave the pickle pizza a try. None of us were disappointed with our choice. Didn't try any of the desserts because I was full but they had some very interesting options and what we saw looked great. Would love to try the carbonara pasta the next time but I don't know if I can pass up the pizza. Seriously, this is one of those places that you will go out of your way to visit. We come over from the west side of the state to visit our daughter and I can see Gulino's being a must stop every time we're back here. Great food and great service.
Back again today for another visit. Couldn't pass up the pizza. This time we had the focaccia for an appetizer and each of us had pizza again. Had the same as last time except a Supreme instead of the pickle. Same story. Did not disappoint....
