You can't get any more on the nose about a rating for this place than a three star rating.
My girlfriend and I came here for dinner after our fast passes, because we still have our annual pass holder discount here until September. There were plenty of registers, so the big line moved pretty fast, and even with the mass amount of people in that building, there was plenty of seating. They also had the big cups for sauces that I love. I hate being limited in my saucing abilities.
Anywho, we got two entrees. I got the Chicken and Ribs Combo Platter (Barbecued Chicken and Ribs served with Steak Fries and Coleslaw) and my girlfriend got the Southwest Burger (Premium Burger topped with Pepper Jack Cheese, Guacamole, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Cheddar Jalapeño Poppers. Served with Steak Fries).
First of all, every single food item was not hot. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't hot, which I don't like to see, especially on a busy day where everything should be nice and hot and fresh.
My platter was ok. The ribs were edible, and the chicken was also edible. The skin was very soggy and I peeled off as much as I could. Also, the chicken was heavily coated with a thick dry rub. It tasted good, but it was heavy. It stained my hands and I needed a wetnap desperately. So if that doesn't sound like something you would enjoy, skip this. The coleslaw was ok, too.
My girlfriend's burger was pretty good. Not cosmically average, but only really due to the jalapeno poppers on the burger. They exploded with each bite, and it was actually quite nice. It was like having pimento cheese on the burger. The patty itself was like a Bubba Burger. It was ok.
The thing we had in common was our fries, which were fries.
I wish I could say something more profound or novel about this place, but, it just...
Read moreNo issue with food, it's easy to order and quick, tastes pretty good. But it's June, it's 96 degrees outside (feels 103 with humidity) and they only operate at half capacity inside starting one hour prior to closing. People aren't told this, see tons of tables available, order food, then find no tables inside. There are tons of open seats outside, but with the previously mentioned heat outside, this is not an option for many people. Saw several ask the manager to just let them sit on the completely empty other side, and he told them that he "understands that it's a bit warm outside, and that this is the busiest time of our restaurant," but no. As a result, the inside that is open is packed, the AC isn't quite strong enough to do anything, and many people just end up circling for a spot before leaving. This heat is a safety issue, not just a restaurant management issue. Even though the food is good, I cannot rate this restaurant any higher due to incompetency in restaurant management.
Edit: One of my other party members found a fly under her sauce in her tacos. Docked a...
Read moreI used to love this place but I was very dissatisfied with my most recent experience. We wait almost an hour from lining up to getting food which is actually insane and it wasn’t even that busy. They’re just inefficient. They only have one cashier for non mobile order and for some people, mobile ordering isn’t possible. It took about 30 mins to order and another 15-20 mins for food to come since only one window was dealing with over 20 people with non mobile orders. This was crazy since there were 4 completely empty windows for mobile ordering and there were multiple employees milling around and just waiting for mobile orders. If you’re going to come here, definitely check if there’s a line cause you’ll never get your food or mobile order if you can. The food honestly wasn’t anything spectacular. I even asked for no sauce on the taco and they completely ignored the request. I’ve definitely had better at the parks so I won’t be coming back here. Nice place to relax though and...
