This was such a pleasant experience, tucked away towards the back of the park. I arrive just after 12:00 p.m. and found that there were only a few people already seated at the tables near the bar. I was able to quickly order a beer and a cheese & charcuterie plate, all reasonably priced (by Disney standards) with the entire tab being about $21. I got a nice seat at the counter looking out at the patio and people walking in the streets. The food was good, a nice snack to have while your sipping on the some beer and just re-energizing from the heat and humidity outside. Directly outside you can see goofy and the line of people queued up to take pictures with him. It's just on the other side of the commissary and a little tough of find with the construction going on in the park right now but definitely worth it. The bar started to fill up just about 15 minutes after I sat down to start eating. They have a nice outdoor patio with several tables, one table for 8 inside, along with several "counter" seats along the windows - definitely my choice given there is air conditioning. I chose an inside counter seat in the air conditioning for obvious reasons in the dead of summer in Florida. The charcuterie plate was tasty and just the right amount of savory for the beer that I had with it. It came with some Pepperoni, salami, red grapes, small pickles, a few pieces of crostini, goat cheese, blue cheese and another hard cheese that I'm not sure what it was, perhaps Harvati? This is probably big enough for people to share but since I was traveling solo I ate it all myself. I'd definitely come back since the rest of the food options in Hollywood Studios is understatedly subpar to the food in...
Read moreGreat place to relax and drink a beer at Hollywood Studios. I love the shade and fans for the outside seating. The soft pretzel, beer cheese and mustard are the best at Disney, hands down. Much better than the Germany Pavilion which is usually dry and flavorless. The draft beer is easily the only beer I like in Hollywood which has very few options in my opinion. My go to is the Scrimshaw which drinks well in the heat. Their new house made chips with a hint of salt and vinegar were also very tasty and fresh. The servers are magnificent as well. Overall I would give Baseline a 5 but the beer is now $13! I know it’s Disney but it’s hard to swallow spending $83 for 4 decent pint draft beers, 2 excellent pretzels and one small but very good mini bag of house made chips. It was good but NOT a meal. $80 goes a little further at Animal Kingdom and Epcot Quick Service and the result would’ve been a meal instead of a snack. I will be back when money is not an object but until then I will have to plan my meals around the dollars. If you have no budget for your Disney trip and you like a relaxing vibe, cold draft beer and very good pub snacks then Baseline is the...
Read moreBartenders are friendly and food was okay but overpriced. We had a horrible experience towards the end of our visit. We each had a full size beer and we got the charcuterie. I didn't drink but maybe two sips of mine before we finished our charcuterie, and when we went to clear our table, I placed my basically-full beer on the windowsill directly next to us.
Little did I know, the sills are titled in such a way that anything on them will start sliding off. As I was busy attempting to clear food debris and any mess from our table so a cast member wouldn't have to, my beer slid right off the sill and exploded on the ground. The three cast members watching within 10 feet of us all turned around and left us to deal with the aftermath. Quite the Disney Magic! Hollywood Studios has always been the worst park to visit, but this took the cake.
Lesson of the day: Never be nice! Leave your trash everywhere and allow underpaid workers to scrub up after you. All good deeds...
