We came here as a quick service on our dining plan. It was our last Disney meal for our vacation, so we wanted to pick a place we felt would be the best way to end our trip. We had just left Epcot and used all our 12 snacks on the food and wine festival—which was an amazing perk! We loved the chance to try all the different inspired foods! Just amazing! We had thought about eating dinner at Epcot, but my husband really wanted to go see Star Wars. He’s a huge fan, and it seemed a good way to end the night.
I just wasn’t impressed with our food choice—it’s a very small menu. And at this restaurant, it really didn’t give the Disney magic where everyone treats you like a guest with a friendly smile. The ambiance was beautiful which is why we picked it, but the service was exactly that—quick, fast food, in and out. We were used to being able to choose between a dessert or drink as our dining plan advertises, but at this location they did not allow it. It was disappointing for us bc we wanted to explore the menu. Then the food options seemed good in the pictures, but were not as pleasing in taste. My shrimp noodle salad tasted off. I love seafood, but it was the noodles. They tasted like slimy seaweed noodles—very fishy. I couldn’t eat it, and I never say anything, but the fishy like taste was too much. I asked a server if I could make a switch (which was not a problem thank goodness), and got the pot roast like meal in its place as was recommended—it was okay. It tasted like beef stroganoff to me with the pasta and sauce. The beef was tender, but the gravy flavor was too much of a stroganoff taste for me. I don’t care for beef stroganoff as it reminds me of hamburger helper, so it may just be me. My kids got a literal block of chicken and mash with green gravy that was spicy. I didn’t care for the curry gravy, but my husband didn’t mind it. I got one of the non alcoholic drinks which was a plastic cup filled to the rim with ice—I finished my “drink” in seconds. No refills, so we went to the water station which wasn’t being monitored bc most of the the water basins were empty. We had to tilt ours to get water, and the water was room temperature. I was really let down at this restaurant as we went with such high hopes. My husband loved the ambiance, but what did it for me was the service. Our cashier was really rude when we asked about the dessert option. We weren’t upset, but surprised and she acted very snooty and put off by our question. At all the other restaurants we went to, we always walked away talking about how amazing the servers were in truly making an effort to be nice and friendly especially with our boys. In this instance I felt I was back at McDonalds and being pushed to carry on. I really regretted not just staying at Epcot and having our dinner at one of their...

Review:
I recently had the most delightful dining experience at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo within Disney's Hollywood Studios, and I just had to share my excitement! As a Star Wars fan, this themed restaurant took me on a culinary journey through the galaxy while providing impeccable service and delicious dishes.
I was impressed with the attention to detail from the moment I arrived. There was no wait time, and an enthusiastic employee outside the restaurant greeted me warmly. He helped me navigate the menu, ensuring I found a dish that perfectly suited my preferences: the Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip - Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly. It was a delectable blend of Crispy Chicken glazed in a Spicy Chipotle Sauce, served with White Rice and a Relish of Sweet Corn, Shishito Peppers, Jicama, Plantains, and Cilantro. The flavors were simply out of this world!
The restaurant's Star Wars-themed atmosphere made me feel like I had entered the galaxy. The beloved franchise thoughtfully influenced the seating, decoration, and music, immersing me in a fantastic experience. The staff was accommodating and courteous, ensuring I had everything I needed throughout my meal.
One of the highlights of my experience was the lightning-fast service. My mouthwatering dish was served in less than five minutes, leaving ample time to explore the rest of the park and enjoy every moment of my day.

Read moreThis is a fun dining location, especially if you're looking for something you won't find anywhere besides Batuu. Their pot roast, though still pot roast, has unique flavor combinations with the kale and mushroom pasta it sits on and the slaw on top of it, and it's in a fun little bowl with handles like it was cooked in it. I especially liked the Batuu Bon, which is a dessert with fun spacey colors on top, and hardened chocolate on the bottom. In the center there's chocolate cake on the bottom and mousse on top. There's a lemony sauce that garnishes it, and what you get is a unique treat you won't find anywhere else. If you're looking for something different but still tasty and familiar enough, and in a themed environment, this is the place to go in the park.
Oh, and the indoor seating looks like a real outer space docking bay, but I also recommend the little outdoor seating area nearby. It's quaint and oretty, with wooden booths, tables, and a stone bar around a tree with lanterns on it, and on the outside is slightly ruined stone architecture. It's pretty and atmospheric and the perfect place to relac with a cold drink if you need to slow down during your trip to batuu and feel a little more in nature than in the...
