TL;DR - Go here, especially if you're a Celiac's sufferer. Comfort and safety.
After looking through some other restaurants without success, I was glad to see that this place did gluten-free sandwiches. And---oh boy!---do they do them well.
I went in and said to the server that I wanted a gluten-free sandwich, at which point I was shunted to another server (different uniform; manager? supervisor?) at which point they took my order, checking for any other allergens and the severity of the ones that I had. I paid for the sandwich and I was out in maybe a minute more than anyone else but with a sense of safety. Outstanding.
Just under twice the normal wait period for the non-Celiac suffers, out came the sandwich (a reuben). It was delicious. If I had two minor quibbles they would be:
It wasn't cut, thus it was hard to keep the mountain of food contained in the bread. Splitting it in two would help with this; and
It wasn't toasted. It seems strange that in a facility capable of doing this they wouldn't have a dedicated toaster or stovetop cooker that could have toasted up the bread.
Despite the lack of toasting, the bread was amazingly durable for gluten free bread and stuck together while eating the sandwich. It would have just been beyond the Pale had the sandwich had some crunch to it.
Simple. Delicious. No worry. The sandwich didn't end up as a pile of mess in the wrapper that would require using a fork/spork to eat the rest.
Even if you're not a Celiac sufferer, go here. For this type of sandwich I would have paid this kind of "Disney prices" practically anywhere in the U.S.
I will be going back there tomorrow and the next time that I...
Read moreAfter trying to find something quick to eat for lunch because I am gluten free we ended up going here. They had gluten-free sandwichs and gluten-free blueberry muffins but that was about it. Very disappointed as I had heard from many people on YouTube saying that Disney had plenty of gluten-free options. The boardwalk certainly did not and this Bakery was the only place that we could really find anything that was gluten free. When we got our sandwiches the bread was very soggy and not a pleasant eating experience. We tried their gluten-free blueberry muffins and both times they were not fully cooked inside. They were goopy and you could tell they were not experienced enough in gluten free baking. After ordering muffins the second time we requested that they be cooked this time and again they failed. The only reason why I ended up eating the muffins was because I was desperate to find anything to eat since I am gluten and dairy free. Not impressed and prefer not to stay at the boardwalk resort again for the reason of not providing enough gluten free dairy free options. They need more gluten free products and a gluten free and vegan baker in to show them how it is suppose to be done. Also the staff are uninterested in their job and serving the customers and not very...

I think the plant-based Vegan Ciabatta breakfast sandwich might be the best sandwich I've had across all of Disney property, breakfast lunch or dinner. The flavor of the plant-based florentine with the argula and tomato jam, on the fresh and soft ciabatta is mouthwatering. The sandwich was definitely warm, delicious and filling.
It was the morning rush and this place was busy with in person guests, as well as mobile orders and they looked to be short staffed. The Cast Members (Shoutout Cynthia and Stef) were definitely doing their best as they got to each order as quickly as possible and apologized each time for the wait. Some guests had zero patience and unfortunately continued to complain the entire time. Please don't do this to the Cast Members when you see they're hussling and trying to do their best. Please also note that this is a FRESH bakery where food is prepared fresh and on site as many of the guests complaints was that they should've already had sandwiches ready to go and pre-made. If you want a "quick" and non fresh sandwich, please find a different place to...
