The Thirsty River Bar helped make a great day!

It was our first visit to Disney, we were three days in, and our kids were 4 and 5 and completely overwhelmed with every single experience. We'd been waiting for the parade to start and it started to rain. Our kids were miserable and crying. We were about to attempt to leave the park when the parade blocked us from doing so. My husband spotted the Thirsty River Bar and came back with two of the most refreshing and amazing frozen drinks. Our kids were then mesmerized by the engaging parade and we were all smiling by the time we left the park.

This is such a great spot. Perfect little walk up bar right by Everest. We’ve never waited in line but we’ve always ended up seeing a line after we’ve ordered so maybe that’s just luck of the draw. The bartenders are really great and can make accommodations upon request. For example, there was a drink I was really interested in but it had whiskey and I’m just not a fan. She recommended a replacement and adjusted the recipe accordingly. It was amazing and I ended up going back for a second. Good drink but service experience was awful here. The woman behind the counter was very loudly complaining about the tip the man ahead of us left for her and how it wasn’t enough. I was so taken aback and shocked. It was absolutely inappropriate and totally not a Disney experience. Go ahead and complain about the guests just not in front of other guests. One star review for...
