I truly wanted to love this place, but the confusion between each staff member is frustrating. My daughter and I were Using a tube in the wave, pool And she was sitting on the tube. The lifeguard yelled excuse me and pointed that she needed to get off the tube. She fit the height requirement and is a good swimmer so I got rid of the tube altogether. She was going underwater when the wave comes and popped her head up when it wasn’t, just like the rest of the kids. She was doing a great job. Maybe a minute later, the same lifeguard (Aden) Blew his whistle and stopped the waves. My daughter and I thought something happened near the edge of the pool as that’s where he jumped in and was for a bit, before he started coming towards my daughter and I. When he approached us, we were both fine, so I said, “can I help you?” In confusion. His response was- “I saw your daughter was in distress, I need to put her on this life float and bring her to shore.” I explained to him that she wasn’t and I was once a huge part of the lifeguard community, and keeping a very close eye on her. He kept pushing for me to let my daughter on his float, I refused and walked out of the water carrying my daughter. He was so adamant about him putting my perfectly fine child on his flotation device that it was kinda creepy. When I put her down, she went and found a beetle and was happily playing with her little sister. My husband who had my youngest, asked the lifeguard what happened (as he had been watching) the life guard told him she was in distress because “she kept putting her face in the water.” My husband said, “yeah, isn’t that how you swim? If I go in that water right now and put my head in the water does that mean I’m in distress?” Aden Didn’t know what to say to my husband. He then told us we had to wait for his boss to come check on our perfectly fine daughter, when I assured him many times, she was fine. Thank goodness for the other lifeguard who came over and asked why we were still sitting there. And Aden told him that the supervisor had to come check her out. The other lifeguard said to him that he spoke to somebody the other day and they said we don’t have to do that if the parent says their child is OK. So thankfully we were able to go. My daughter no longer wants to go in the pool as she feels embarrassed by all of the people that were staring at us as we walked out. She now feels incapable in her swimming skills. And if my child really had been drowning, he was not going to be able to save her - he took to long to get to us. I truly wanna believe that this was a genuine mistake, but her certainly wasn’t going to admit it was. We bought season passes and this had only been our second time, but it was a frustrating day. So many stupid little rules - You may not bring in a off brand Powerade as they consider that an outside drink…. Only water. Some of the workers consider crocs, water shoes, and some of them don’t so you never know if you need to take them off or not, But the ground there is sweltering- it would probably cause blisters if you stood there for only a minute. We used to be aquatica passholders, and they would let us wear our crocs, let us Bring in a Powerade for the littles. Looks like next year, we know who...
Read moreUpdate 5/10/21 ** Mothers Day visit with a season pass holder family of 4. I am hoping this is not the norm when visiting. A swarm of “roudy”people all together maybe 50 attended this park. Overtaking the lazy River, cutting in line through the family raft line, yelling obscenities, leaving dirty diapers on the edge of the lazy River, and watched as they had one drink cup at the refill station and continued to pour soda into multiple unpaid for cups. THE FINAL STRAW: OUR REFILLABLE DRINK CUP WAS STOLEN FROM OUR LOUNGE CHAIR BY THE WAVE POOL. Guests services could not help. NEVER had this happen to us at any waterpark ever in Orlando and have now learned our lesson: to lock up everything in a locker. This experience reminded us of the old days at Wet N Wild and the reason we never returned to that waterpark.
Went spring break week with kids and it was awesome! WE DID NOT NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION OR PLAN 3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE LIKE OTHER WATERPARKS!! So close to Lake Louisa State Park (rent one of our RV’s and camp with a day trip to the water park (RVshare Satellite Beach) Just some helpful tips: Arrive early for best parking ($10 to park if you don’t have a season pass). Just be patient, there will be a long line to enter since there is only one bag check point and security scanner. Just be patient, line to obtain season pass is long at guest services. Was given these wrist scanner bracelets without instructions, mine was too small and ended up putting it in my pocket and loosing it somewhere in the park. We did not take advantage of any of the posting stations. Slides were a bit confusing, where to stand and what color raft went with what slide (green raft for the water coaster, yellow raft for all others). Periodically the slides would shut down with long lines. Bring in a few water bottles and don’t fall for the unlimited refill cup, only 2 refill stations with incredibly long lines. Food was okay, not great (hot dog basket with bland fries $11). Too many choices of places to eat nearby, eat before and after! THIS WATERPARK IS SO CLEAN!! We were asked Covid questions upon entry but no further remarks were made to wear a mask. The blue dots were on the ground to follow social distance but not enforced, so if that bothers you..stay home. Overall, my kids had a blast... no time for pictures since they were busy having fun from 9:30 open...
Read moreI recently had a very disappointing experience with Island H2O Water Park and Margaritaville resort, which put a serious damper on what was supposed to be a relaxing, flip-flop-worthy vacation. We booked a week-long stay at Margaritaville, checking in on Sunday and planning to leave on Thursday, specifically because the resort advertised free daily water park passes—a real ticket to paradise, or so we thought. The booking promotion read, "Island H2O Water Park, rated among the top water parks in the U.S. by USA Today, now through October 26, 2025, complimentary admission every day! Save $65.99 per person daily. Stay, splash, repeat—it's all included!!" Imagine our frustration when we arrived and found out that the water park was closed for the entire week! It felt like a real fin in the sand, a major buzzkill that significantly impacted our vacation plans.
Adding to the disappointment, I had checked the park's operating hours before our visit and was under the impression that it would be open until 5 PM—plenty of time to waste away again in Margaritaville. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the park was closed, which was incredibly misleading and inconvenient. It's also concerning that Island H2O Water Park appears to have inconsistent operating hours, especially during the week and in what seems to be off-peak seasons. This lack of transparency makes it difficult for visitors to plan their day and enjoy their time, leaving us feeling like we were sailing on a sea of misinformation.
While the Platinum Season Pass offers look attractive, this experience makes me question the reliability of Island H2O's services. If they can't even maintain consistent and accurate information about their operating hours, it's hard to trust their other offerings. I hope they address these issues promptly; otherwise, I will not be returning, and I would advise other potential visitors to proceed with caution. Don't let your trip turn into a cheeseburger in...
