Post pandemic and this is still a great place to come to. Tons of good stores and places to eat plus they have lots of interesting events. Personally I'm a big fan of the car shows and wish I could get to more of them. I can always find more new and interesting vehicles to view. We also come down here on occasion for a bite to eat. We have dined in quite a few of the restaurants down here and have never had a truly bad meal experience. We stopped by this past Saturday for the car show and they also had a small farmers market of sorts. These are regular weekly occurrences for them. The car show while smaller than pre-pandemic still had some excellent vehicles and I had the opportunity to talk to the owners of a couple of them. People put a lot of love into their vehicles and it's great to be able to see them. While in the area we also shopped the farmers market and picked up a few items and stopped for a bite to eat. I had been looking forward to going to Capone's to get some pizza as they list a gluten-free crust and vegan cheese is options and a member of our party needs that to be able to enjoy a good pizza. We were disappointed because it was closed off and fenced all around the building. I'm not sure what was going on but I hope they will be back because the food is always good there and the service is friendly. We ended up wandering over to El jefe to see if there was anything that they could have off the menu. They found a few items that sounded good that they could have so we all decided to stop in. I have had previous excellent experiences here and truly enjoy their food. I ended up trying something new off the menu this time. I ordered the fajita burrito and was very pleased with the taste and the size of it. You get all the flavors of fajitas wrapped up in a single tortilla. It's a bit messy and went well with the hatch green chili salsa. I do prefer something hotter but the flavors blended very well together. One of my companions had some jalapenos that they weren't using so I also cut them up with it and it gave just a little extra tang to it. Along with everything else going on they also had a live band playing music and I have to say that they did real justice to the music they were playing. I've seen other bands that didn't understand their weaknesses on some songs but this one has a very clear idea of what works for them and we thoroughly enjoyed listening while walking...
Read moreIt's convenient. We went to Game Time for the kids to have one last night of fun. The servers/ hostesses were terrible. The manager did nothing but randomly show up while the two servers were on their phones while people were waiting to be seated or place orders. There were only 2 tables and a party waiting to be seated. Only the bartender was seating people and tending to tables. The people who were behind the area to redeem game tickets were running food while the servers were standing around on their phones. Fords Garage has good food and great service. The candy store is always nostalgic to walk through. Many restaurants, great food, just don't eat at Game Time. Let the kids play and parents go to the bar and have a...
Read moreMemphis BBQ is really good, I have to admit I'm not a big barbecue fan but I really did enjoy this place! The service was fast and the staff made sure to be attentive and courteous when approaching me. The brisket and Ribs are delicious! I look forward to trying everything else on my next visit. The only minor complaint that I have here is that the AC is just too cold, when I asked the staff about this they told me that the managers upstairs usually get really hot so they lower the AC of the restaurant to circumvent this but in turn it makes the restaurant feel like the North Pole. If they can regulate the temperature in the dining experience would...
