My husband and I went there on October 5th 2024 while attending the food & wine festival. We were there mainly for the wine flights and we were initially very excited, not minding the long wait under the heat. As we were about to go in, we were told by the hostess that it could only be grab and go, couldn't even just stand by the bar and enjoy our drinks, if we wanted to sit down, we have to have a meal. The other thing that really tainted our whole experience, was one of the Italian gentleman at the bar, he asked for our IDs which was fine, but when we presented both our scanned passport copies on our phone, it was not accepted, we had to have a secondary form of physical ID at hand. My husband had his overseas driver's license so it was fine, but I didn't, so I was rejected, and was told I absolutely cannot drink, even if he was serving my husband the flight. We are both 33 years old. Granted there was a sign there, but let's be honest, the REASON for ID checks is to ensure they don't serve alcohol to minors. I already presented a passport copy that has my face and my DOB on it, why isn't this enough? Also, why do we have to present 2 forms of IDs? We're not going through immigration here, we're simply buying drinks. This also wouldn't work for international travellers, because who carries their passports everywhere they go? They're always kept in the hotel safe, another scenario would be them having a scanned copy on the phone and have a driver's license for example, but some foreign countries, there's no photo of the person on the driver's license, then what? They can't enjoy a glass now even if they're way beyond the legal drinking age? Funniest thing was, shortly after he told us to leave because it was grab and go only, we left as told and guess what, I drank outside. What kind of stupidity is this? I don't know if this was a rule set by Disney, or this particular restaurant, or specifically for Food & Wine festival, but the whole system is flawed beyond comprehension, and unfortunately the bar guy was robotically enforcing it, hence ruining our experience, and receiving...
Read more09/24/2024 on a Tuesday I visited the bar as usual when I visit Epcot as a passholder. Marco served me and did the worst service I have ever had at a Disney property. He claims to be a bartender from New York when he is just a very rude person that doesn’t even wear a name tag. He served me a half foam espresso martini (I’ve purchased them before and they looked nothing like the one he poured me). Then when I went back to complain he threw mine away and served me a shot of the drink. We ended up getting a refund and clearly not taking those terrible drinks. The service was horrible. Never get drinks from him since he doesn’t care about the customer. Very rude! Never coming back again. He said he has been working here for 12 years and I have never seen him. A liar...
