Lavaccino Cafe — Restaurant in Bayonne

BEWARE! This café is AMAZINGLY ADDICTIVE!

I was visiting Bayonne from out of state for a few days and decided to stop by Lavaccino—and WOW, I’m so glad I did! Over the course of my short trip, I ended up coming back several times because everything was just that good.

Ambiance: The café has such a warm, modern vibe with plenty of cute photo-op spots. It’s super clean, cozy, and inviting.

Staff: The team here is wonderful—friendly, patient, and genuinely kind. I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded delicious, and they were so helpful and welcoming the entire time.

Drinks: I tried the hot caramel macchiato and the iced matcha—both were incredible! Rich, flavorful, and far better than drinks from most big-name chains. The caffeine definitely did its job too—what a great pick-me-up!

Food: I had the chive cream cheese on a toasted bagel, the spinach pastry, and a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. Everything was fresh, filling, and generously portioned. The chive cream cheese was honestly the best I’ve ever had—I could eat it by the spoonful!

Dessert: Heaven for anyone with a sweet tooth! I tried the freshly made waffle with Nutella and fruit (the fruit tasted so fresh it could’ve come straight from their own garden), plus a macaron and their in-house Dubai chocolate—absolutely divine.

Bonus: They even have kid-friendly options like yogurt pouches and milk boxes, and their prices are very fair and competitive.

If you’re anywhere near Bayonne, do yourself a favor and visit Lavaccino. I sincerely hope they expand one day because I’d love to have one near me in Houston. Until then, I’ll definitely be back next time...

I absolutely admire this new cafe! It is the only one in Bayonne that is open late, has free parking, and free/fast WiFi which is really important to me as a student that stays for hours studying. I ordered an iced hazelnut latte with oatmilk but they went above and beyond with the amazing latte art and I saw others have photos put on their drinks too! Not only did it look good but it was the best coffee I have ever tasted and was perfectly paired with delicious desserts. They had a great variety of drinks on the menu and I can’t wait to try them all. This was not your typical coffee shop because the customer service made me feel like I was in a 5 star restaurant lol. The staff greeted me with a smile, was super friendly, had fast service, and occasionally checked in on my table to make sure I had everything I needed. (They knew what I needed before I even asked! 😂) This was all during a rush when they had plenty of customers to cater to but they didn’t fail to give me the BEST experience. Lastly, I loved every single detail of this place such as comfortable chairs, great lighting, beautiful/clean bathroom, and an overall aesthetic design. So grateful this is in Bayonne!
