T.J. Maxx — Local services in Bayonne

This store deserves 5 stars. Excellent items. Great prices. Amazing variety. Quality brands. Clean, organized, and open until 9:30! As someone who works in management, I knew the situation was not worth a reaction, but should be brought to attention. As I was waiting to check out.. I’d say 9:20 as a very friendly hispanic lady informed me the store was closing in 10 mins and told me to have a great weekend, etc. I went to the front and only one register was open, which is fine. I’m very patient. Then the lady in front of me must’ve been buying gifts as she paid separately 3 times. I still had no complaints as I was looking at the items near the check out. I picked up a cup I was contemplating on getting but put it back down as it was by turn now at 9:32. I know 9:32 exact! as KATHY (heavy set, caucasian woman, short hair) blurted out “The store is closed it’s 9:32 we’ve been closed since 9:30 I don’t understand why pick something up if you can’t put it back correctly just say you don’t want it at the register” with the cup in her hand. I just hummed in my head. She continued asking the other cashiers if the registers were locked cause “WE’RE CLOSED. NOBODY SHOULD EVEN BE TOUCHING ANYTHING BUT THE DOOR AT 9:30” One of the girls actually said “Oh god Kathy there’s customers shh”. Anyway, she was extremely nasty and I can keep quoting her repeatedly saying how they’re closed and how people should put their stuff back correctly. Clearly, she should not work, manage, lead, whatever, the night shift!! I wanted to walk out. She made it extremely awkward and hard not to respond from continuously going on and on insulting me over misplacing a cup....

This store looks very nice, ample amout of clothes and stuff to select from. Prices are ok too. Staff is very very polite and professional. But this 5 stars goes to Miss Luz who was at the front door area. Today (05/29/2021) my wife and I went to TJ Maxx, and after sometime, I went to another shop while my wife stayed back at at TJ Maxx to do some more shopping, but she forgot bring her phone and left it at home, now she had no way to contact me and ask me to come pick her up after she had finished shopping. Miss Luz had seen my wife at the front with her shopping bags in a lost and tired manner, and not only did Miss. Luz asked my wife whether she was ok, she even helped my wife to get a quick phone call to contact me. My wife was tired and hungry at this time, and this phone call saved her from exhaustion. I came and thanks Miss. Luz, and she said that "no need to thank me it is our duty to help the customers" Miss. Luz, my wife and I thank you very much. We hope TJ Maxx owners would see this review and recognize this wonderful employee. Respect with much...

I will advise all my loved ones and family don’t shopping at Tj max bayonne nj again because we don’t want to get cursed from the employees at TJ Maxx in Bayonne ( address south cove plaza 105 Lefante way Bayonne Nj 07002 ) they don’t have customer service experience and not polite I don’t know how come employee works in this place with this behavior. I went to TJ Maxx today Sunday 8/18/2024 at 12.45 pm to return the dress An old short lady with glasses work in cashier number 1069 I don’t know her name .gave me heart time and attitude to return the dresse than when I told her please throw the empty bag in the trash please I heard her.said you are nasty .what !!! I go back to her. said what did you say? She said again and repeat I said don’t be nasty.
