Melanie’s Deli — Restaurant in Bayonne

Melanie's is a hidden gem here in Bayonne. Parked directly behind the 22nd Street Light Rail Station in Bayonne. It's not much to look at from the front of the place but what it lacks in curb appeal it makes up for with the food.

Food is cooked to order and you can always call ahead especially in the morning for the breakfast sandwiches, they are great. Especially, the the Bacon, Egg, Cheese (SPK) on a Kiaser Roll. . . Or . . . the Jersey Favorite Taylor Ham (Pork Roll) Egg & Cheese (SPK) Aww . . . man that's good eating right there. They usually carry other items and baked goods too you just gotta get there early.

The best part is when you walk in you feel like you have know this place your whole life.

Henry, the owner not to much of a conversationalist but, good down to earth guy. Also, the coffee is good here too and if you like it a certain way Henny can pour it up for yah or feel free to walk up and fix it up the way yah like it. One of the best places to eat. You have to try the pierogis, they are to die for! I think this place is one of those hidden gems in the Bayonne area. Henry is such a sweet guy who is very welcoming.
