UPDATE 4/4/24 Hau over at Iconic Nail Studio reached out later that night and apologized for the inconvenience that was caused. He was very genuine and even asked if I would bring my mother back the following day so they could re-do the service and give her the treatment she was supposed to receive. I agreed and brought my mother back the next day. She had a fantastic experience and really enjoyed the ultimate treatment pedicure package. They even went out of their way to give my mom flowers for her birthday. I was very happy to hear my mom say she enjoyed the service and definitely wants to go back. I appreciate Hau for his excellent customer service and care. This place has earned a 5 star review. As a message to management: please have your employees check the appointment in the computer so you know which services were booked and can avoid any issues like this from happening again. My partner and I wanted to get my mom a surprise birthday gift so we decided on a gift certificate from this place. We got a gift certificate for $95 which is the total of a basic manicure and ultimate treatment pedicure, as per their menu. Unfortunately, when my mom goes in, they just take her to the seat and do a basic manicure and basic pedicure. This place allows online booking for the service of your choice. I booked it for my mom as a basic manicure and ultimate treatment pedicure on their website. They did not even bother to check the appointment to see what services were booked!!! What is the point of selecting your service when booking online if the lazy staff doesn't even check?? We called the place and some clueless lady admitted they don't check the appointment reservations and just ask you when you come in... I would love for this place to explain how that makes sense. If the gift is intended to be a surprise, why should I have to tell my mom what the services are? The clueless lady just said "oh she can just come back next time to get that service and she can specify the exact service she wants. She still has money left over on the gift certificate to use towards the service next time". I don't understand how you expect a customer to return after showing that you are incapable of reading an appointment and with a response like that. Lazy employees and poor management. Please go elsewhere for a manicure and pedicure, especially if you are giving this as a gift...

Firstly, I must say that it is a nice, well-kept salon and the manicure did come out looking nice. However, I am left very unhappy about how they handled my natural nails. Upon arriving, the manager put a gel remover + foil on my soft gel and explained to me that it was an acetone alternative. I then waited for about 45 minutes for a stylist to do my pedicure and in that time, the gel remover dried up.
After finally receiving my pedicure, they started attempting to remove the gel from my nail and since the remover was now dry, they started to drill it! I asked her to put another coat of remover on or to provide something else to soak it off as to preserve the integrity of my natural nail, but she insisted that she would drill it “not too much”.
At the end, my nails were brittle and weak. I was almost at the point of tears during the manicure because of how badly I felt disregarded. When it was drawn to the nail tech’s attention that I was upset, the manager returned to explain to me that she could not remove the soft gel with the gel remover as originally intended because of the type of gel I had on my nails (which was not true because it was regular soft gel and they had not even attempted to remove it before it had dried). It felt like an insult to my intelligence.
Although the manicure was done nicely, the integrity of my nails was no more after this. It had taken me nearly a year to grow out the previous damage to my nail bed, and they ruined it again. I am so heartbroken. My nails are now flimsy and bend at the touch, when previously they were strong and able to withstand a few hits.
Beautiful place, but I don’t think I will...
Read moreWent for a UV gel fill on my natural nails. There were three nails where the overlay was splitting from the side across the nail bed. I explained this to the nail tech and she just put a fresh overlay over it without removing all of the product and applying a fresh overlay. Ok... not a problem. I'm not a nail tech so what do I know. The next day, one of the overlay splits wound up resurfacing again I called up and let them know what was going on. The owner told me to come in. She would fix it and again instead of removing all of the product she just put a fresh overlay after filing it down and wouldn't you know it the following day that same nail split in the same place again and I had to go back a third time to get it fixed. I will not come back to this place because if the owner doesn't know that when the overlay is split like that and it keeps splitting no matter how many layers of UV gel you put over it that you should soak it off and apply a fresh overlay then how educated are the techs at the establishment. This isn't my regular place, but my girl was on vacation at my regular salon so I was desperate being that my nails are long and didn't want my natural nail to break. I also got a pedicure and the pedicurist wound up cutting me along the side of my nail. It's only been a week and I'm going back to my regular salon to have them done over because the nail is still splitting at the same edge and now the other nail that the overlay was splitting at the end has now split all over again. Crappy work. Never again. The only good thing about the salon is that it's really...
