"Tell the truth the first time, then you won't have to remember what you said." This truism by the famous Speaker of the House, Sam Rayburn is good medicine for today. I'm a sceptical person about restaurant referrals, but boy was I wrong about Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen.
From the moment I arrived I was greeted graciously & treated like I was a VIP or a government official. The enthusiasm of the entire staff as well as the positive energy was evident. But I must say, the star of the evening goes out to my server Ashley.
She demonstrated what the textbook definition of professionalism, a positive attitude & exceptional customer service is. She was genuinely considerate about my needs & answered my questions. She was completely candid with me & my order was flawless.
I was so impressed that I had to call her Manager, Tim Evans about my experience. He is a highly intelligent, articulate & amazingly gifted young man with a bright future. Sorry, I got a little bit sidetracked but I must admit I was blown away.
In conclusion, If you are looking for an amazing dining experience, at a great price with huge portions (I'm not exaggerating) then I highly recommend Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. Ashley, keep up the good work because you have the knowledge, integrity & the public relations skills for management.
Addendum: I would personally like to thank my server Caitlyn G. for fantastic customer service, promptness & attention to detail. With her eagerness to learn the job & her commitment to embrace challenges moving forward; She has passion as well as the motivation to go all the way within this industry.
Also, I personally would like to thank the Manager, Tim Evan's for taking care of me & my family on my Birthday week. Perhaps one day, we can see your side-hustle come to fruition."Coming soon to a runway...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo where do I begin. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years and I was highly disappointed with the service today. Believe it or not it was slow for lunch hour but so was the service. To top it off, I waitress passed by our table approximately 10 minutes after giving us drinks and did not even stop by to ask again if we were ready to order. I literally had to go to the front and ask for a manager which in turn added more disappointment. Supposedly I spoke to the GM who I do not believe was a good representation of customer service. He did not listen well and he was dismissive, and rude. He literally had an attitude and clearly showed it when addressing our table during a business lunch. As if it cannot get any worse, one of my colleagues found something in her food that was not edible. When explaining it to the waitress, the waitress insisted on going back and forth with my colleague as to how she should order her meal. Then, I honestly believe that they forgot to season my meat but I do not find this surprising since I am the one who requested to speak to a manager. Needless to say, there was a lot of talk in the back because when I was asking a question to a different worker, another worker interrupted and added her two cents to verify whatever I was asking about. Unfortunately, I will not recommend this place for another business lunch due to the service and lack of professionalism. I honestly get a different vibe when I go at dinner time so I would not recommend this for lunch unless you are passing through, do not expect much, and have a small group. Service is declining...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never been to a restaurant where I enjoyed the sides and appetizers way more than the meal.
To start we ordered the spinach dip, which at first we hesitated to get because most places dump way to much cheese or have way to much spinach, but wow were we happy to have ordered this appetizers because it was a perfect blend of three cheese and spinach. Plus the salsa it came with was pretty good. And I have never really been a fan of croissants, but the honey butter croissant they brought out at the beginning of our meal were light and sweet, delicious.
We then got our orders of the ribs and shrimp, and the country fried steak. Now the rice, shrimp, mash potatoes, sweet carrots and savory gravy that came were perfect, but the ribs and steak, not so much.
BBQ sauce is something that should enhance the already great taste of ribs, but my rips looked and tasted like they were drowned in the stuff, and the country fried steak was a bit on the dryer side.
Now normally I would have given a restaurant with this quality of food a 4/5 but in this case, it gets a 5/5 for the remarkable service we got. Our waiter, Christopher O, was well informed, attentive, and quick. He answered all and any question we had before our meel, and during the meal, It was almost like he could read our minds, getting us refills, extra napkins, and more buttery croissants, all before I could look for him and ask myself.
Great sides and appetizers, decent meal, and fantastic service. 5/5, would Definitely visit again, and recommend to...
