Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Beaumont

Not sure who worked the shift this evening but I initially got here around 720pm. I went thru the drive thru. There are no signs displayed anywhere around this building stating that drive thru is closed or broken. I drove to the window to see if anyone was inside, and I definitely noticed a male worker attending to the customer inside. No one ever addressed me on the intercom or at the window but the male worker continuously paced from the back towards the front, I assume to see if I were still waiting at the window. Not sure what the problem was but it could have been politely vocalized. In defense of this location, the ladies that usually work here are so polite and professional and attend to the drive thru. My suggestion would be to place signs up if the drive thru is not an option. I waited a total of 40 mins and never received anything. The picture included shows me across from the drive thru window and another car just waiting and not being serviced either. This was about the 5th car I witnessed leave without an order placed. Update: same worker from yesterday worked today but this time used the drive thru window. Although, he was polite today, my heart nearly shattered when he informed me that the Kentucky Bourbon cheesesteak was now discontinued. No warning, no head's up. That sandwich deserves to come back. I never got to try the food. I went in tonight, Friday at around 8:40 pm and the 2 guys working were so raciest, they would not help me. Both kept ignoring me, however the girl that came in after me, they helped her, she got her food and left, (even she was dumbfounded as to why they wouldn’t help me) they just kept staring at me, just standing there! Pull your camera footage if you have any..I waited at the counter for a good 10 minutes and NOTHING, absolutely would not help me, this was my first time I ever visited and will be my last, never will I step foot in there again! I’m a GM of a local business, and I get it, staff get overwhelmed, and shorthanded, and working with the public can be exhausting, however kindness is free, and a simple “ma’am it’s going to be a few minutes, I would of had no problem, top of that I was the only person in the restaurant, it was completely empty, lol! First visit to Charley's. The food is straight up good -flavor robust and provolone cheesy great. My order was receive promtly and I found the facility clean and stocked.

However, I made mistakes in ordering which I will avoid at my next visit.

First, I wasn't expecting, nor did I want the added salad on the sandwich. My bad. Next time, I'll ask the lettuce, tomato and pickle on the side.

Second, in combination with the salad on the sandwich and the warm, moist steak, the included cooked ingredients, I found the sandwich unmanagable. Almost all the ingredients slipped out the hoagy roll. Good to have a knife and fork.

Enjoyable food. I'll have a better dining experience in the future - lesson...
