Pour09 Bar & Rooftop — Restaurant in Beaumont

Went there June 30th with my friend between 5:30pm and 6:30pm during happy hour. Between us we had four cocktails a piece and one beer and we shared the chips and queso which was delicious. The drinks were good as well but, they weren't very strong and we felt maybe this was due to it being happy hour. My friend had a prior engagement so we left and reconvened at Pour09 the same night around 8:00 p.m but this time we decided to dine and drink upstairs. The upstairs and downstairs decorations were very nice and we both agreed that the atmosphere and the ambience was very appealing and modern. I can say that the servers upstairs in my opinion were not as attentive or as friendly as the one that we had downstairs during happy hour. 2 of the 3 servers seemed to have some tension or discourse with the other. I ordered two cocktails and the grilled cheese with mac and cheese with brisket sandwich. If it wasn't for the queso that came with the sandwich I would have been very disappointed overall. The brisket was very bland and flavorless it was not juicy it was dry but it also was tender but not very good. The two cocktails that I ordered were again delicious and good tasting but they weren't very strong in my opinion and this was outside of happy hour. My friend and I closed out our tab upstairs and went back downstairs so that we could watch the NBA playoff game. We ended up getting our server that we had the first time we went during happy hour and she was very pleasant. My friend ordered a few more drinks for himself and I as well and we enjoyed the rest of the night. The biggest complaint that I have so far is the lack of flavor when it came to the grilled cheese with brisket sandwich and the seemingly lack of alcohol for the cocktails especially since they can bit a little pricey outside of happy hour. Overall, I enjoyed the aesthetic and atmosphere of Pour09 and look to return with a few friends who have never been. Oh, I also forgot to add it is very hot and humid no matter if you sit upstairs at the bar or downstairs. Rude bartenders! I came to pour09 to relax since I’ve only been there once so this would be my 2nd time, last time I remembered I had a FANTASTIC time with an R&B band a year or so ago that was here! So I’m thinking it’ll be a great night to go hang out here again! Why not!?!? WELL THIS TIME. two blondies that was behind the bar & they was rude to me since the time I came into the bar!!! I went inside first to order a drink then one directed me to go outside to order my drink. I do just that. So I try to order my drink and the other blonde bartender is telling me they couldn’t serve me any alcohol because it was 11PM and they was closing at 12AM so i respected that and had a seat; chilling for 15-20mins. As im chilling im looking at the bar & they’re serving other people drinks while i sat there. I felt like maybe she was overwhelmed; waited 5 more mins then went up to the bar to one of the blonde bartender Asking why I couldn’t order a drink when they was letting other people order a drink. One of the blondes tell me “ oh well we have 3 more mins till we stop serving alcohol it’s almost 11:30PM”. I’m like “ wait a min you told me you stopped at 11PM!!!! How is that fair?! I sat down for 15-20mins and I could’ve ordered my drink!?!??!? But you told me yall stopped at 11Pm!?!??”. Then she offered me with a sassy tone saying “I could order a shot for 12$”! Girl I can get 4 margaritas from Woodrow’s with 12$! Them ant sized shots for 12$ !? I just gathered my things and left. I was loosing my temper because why yall being rude to me!?!? I just got here! The drinks were nice, the atmosphere was nice the 1st waitress was nice and very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. However we ended up staying a few hours and the 2nd waitress was well I'm still trying to figure her out days later. She never came to take our drink orders and when she finally came to the table it was to put a sign on it and tell us we had to leave in a hour because the table was reserved for a specific time. She never came back after that a few of us ended up ordering drinks from the bar I usually won't spend anymore money if I don't like the service but we had out of town guests so I didn't want to act up but I was very disappointed in the 2nd waitress and wish I had gotten her name. Overall I like the place, the vibe was great I'll give them another shot!
