Waffle House — Restaurant in Beaumont

Don’t get me wrong the food is still great, but while I’m aware that costs everywhere are rising, this place seems to be doing so with a much more noticeable approach. $1.00 for a to go glass of water with your order and an added, up front, to go charge added to take out orders, Waffle House is a past favorite that just isn’t making the cut in my opinion. Most of the time they have a recorded message that refuses call in orders even when they actually have no customers in house. And despite the fact that I made the decision the try it once more and went and placed my order in person, I got home only to find out that there were items I had requested (and paid extra for) that had been left off my hash browns. They certainly have a well staffed establishment but half the staff is usually out back “smoking”. Maybe that’s the reason for the forgetfulness about the items in my order. On October 10, 2024, at approximately 1100 hours, myself, along with my wife and 2 kids walked into Waffle House at this location. There was one empty table that had been previously occupied. LORIE, who is a waitress there came moments later and continued to clean the second table from the door across from the bar. My family stood up and walked to the table. LORIE stated the lady and him were next, which there was a lady by herself waiting on a to-go order. LORIE walked away and we sat down. She came back with a broom and dust pan slamming it on the floor. (We would have moved if she needed us to but she walked away not saying anything and never returned). Mr. Kallen arrived and we recieved great service but firstly he was a great person.

We got here and there was a wait, understandable on a rainy Saturday morning, we ordered waffles and omelets. My omelets was ham cheese and onions....onions and ham burnt ordered a do over, my husband ordered a backhand cheese...he asked for more bacon...Jolene Cobb the manager came over was rude as all get out and said it had enough...u couldn't even see the bacon... so my husband said he didn't want it..themanager threw it in the trash ... my husband said to me this is some bs...she came back to our table to tell us to leave..... She spelled her name out because I said I'm calling it in...rudest old lady I have ever come across...won't...
