Food tastes pretty good; everything else is very bad. Needs some work to bring it up a notch.
Parking is difficult. Not really their fault just another reason to not want to go here again.
First impression was bad. Ordering at the counter is awkward; thereâs no obvious place to queue where youâre not crowding someoneâs table, and you canât really read the menu until youâre at the order window. By the time we got up there we felt rushed, so didnât read things carefully and ended up getting something we didnât expect, which means they didnât understand the order. Not entirely their fault but we were bummed. I advise looking on your phone while you wait so youâre prepared to order; they should have a visible QR code or something.
Girl at the order counter did not want to be there and gave us a clue as to the level of service to expect.
Tables were dirty. Several tables sat empty, despite being busy, because they were dirty or wet. Flagged someone down to ask if we could clean the table; he did it for us but they didnât bother wiping it dry so it was left like someone spilled water on it. I had to go to the counter and wait to ask for napkins as there was no self serve area for this.
Went back to counter 2 more times, waiting again, to ask for silverware and cups for water. They do have a water station but itâs not in a logical spot and didnât work anyway, so had to go back across the room to the soda fountain (this is where water station should be). They need a self serve station with napkins, cups, and silverware since they are clearly understaffed. Spent a lot of time here waiting on staff and trying to get their attention. Customers shouldnât feel like a bother when service is a fail.
Coffee is very bad. Inexcusable for any Oregon establishment, especially for breakfast.
Seems like the bulk of business is with take out orders. After dining in this makes sense to me. We would not want to eat here again. They desperately need servers or a much better system and layout to go without.
I recommend the chicken and...

This restaurant is located in a "food hall" type space, but they are the only ones that occupy the space. The restaurant serves food until 5p and there is a bar (beer and liquor) in the same space. In fact, why not enjoy a mimosa flight with your chicken and waffles!?
The food, is well done. The chicken and waffles are flavorful and enough to share if you're looking to have a lighter breakfast, or filling enough if you're hangry for breakfast. If you're looking for something a little different - but still breakfast, try the MVP. It's eggs, American cheese, and their special blend of pork sage sausage and bacon, sandwiched between 2 fluffy waffles. Maple syrup on the side for dipping, of course. If you're not looking to booze with breakfast, they have (unlimited) drip coffee, teas, and shakes of all kinds. The food is good. It's well done and comforting.
The atmosphere is kind of diner-ish. There is indoor seating, and a few bistro tables outside. It is not fancy by any means, which would be great for families with tiny humans who are messy eaters. You do have to bus your own table - but, tables are sanitized frequently - just make sure the card is green before you sit.
Lastly, I was impressed with the price of the food. In a time when meals can cost $15/plate, I was happy to see that you were being served breakfast, at "breakfast prices". For me, this is a win, especially since I'm always looking for a good deal when it comes to feeding my family. Fresh, hot, good-tasting food, and an affordable price. This might just be my new fave...
Read moreI LOVE THIS PLACE đ â¤ď¸ đ! EXACTLY what I'm looking for in a sweet waffle! I had the Cinnamon Swirl Waffle and Barnyard Scramble w a side of hashbrowns. I should have switched the egg order w my friend cuz I asked for over med but they were hard and my friend asked for the opposite but we didn't really pay attention to it till the end. I also ask for something about the hashbrwns but it got mixed up a bit, but I didn't mind. I ate what I wanted/needed but thoroughly enjoyed my waffle treat. It remained crispy on the outside with all deliciousness on top and even the waffle had flavor! I wasn't impressed with their version of the Espresso Martini...tasted like I was drinking straight Kaluha đ I also tried having her make a smoothie for me but I think i asked for the wrong flavors/mixture/combo cuz it just didn't taste right...not her fault, all mine. My friend had the chicken and waffles and she wasn't happy with either. She did, however, like her smoothie đđ¤Łđ¤Śââď¸
Parking on the early wknd mornings might be tight, but there's a federal agency across the street w parking that says u can get towed, but the government doesn't work on weekends and that DOGE thing might have already closed it anyhow, so its an open lot ON THE WEEKENDS.
Batter Up! is also in "food court" setting, as Oregon likes to call it, but u have to pay attention to which door u walk into because they're all separate little doors/offices/things on the ground level of [several] buildings, caddycorner to a post office [that DOGE hasn't canceled...
